Henchey brings proven experience leading operations at some of the nation’s largest and most innovative health plans. Most recently, Henchey was the Executive Consultant to the NCTIO Leadership Team at BCBC North Carolina, charged with leading the operational and systems optimization of the technology platform. Prior to this, he was the Vice President and Executive Leader of the Shield Advance Program at Blue Shield of California, aimed at providing technology and business process improvements. Henchey held COO positions at both MVP Health Care and the New England division of Cigna Healthcare. In addition, he founded Choicelinx, a developer of online, consumer-driven health care products for the insurance industry.
Henchey’s deep product and operations experience building consumer-focused tools for health plan clients will be instrumental in supporting the expanding market demand for Vitals’ incentive and engagement program, SmartShopper. SmartShopper drives real health care savings for employers and employees by paying people cash when they shop for high-quality, lower-cost medical options.
