Mitch RothschildChief Executive Officer
Mitch brings two decades of entrepreneurial experience to his role as co-founder, Chief Perfectionist & CEO of Vitals. Prompted by personal medical experience that could have turned out badly, Mitch helped found Vitals. He designs and oversees the direction of the company and promulgates the Vitals message to the world.
Prior to Vitals, Mitch founded RaspberryRed Marketing, NetWorks, Tuff Rhino, Awards.com, RUSS CandyBears and Time Warner Viewer’s Edge. He has also been involved in the rapid growth of Popcorn Indiana, Blue Moon Mexican Cafe and IT’SUGAR.
Mitch has an MBA, with honors, from Columbia University and an MA (Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude) from Queens College.
Tony BellomoPresident and Chief Operating Officer
Tony is a recognized industry leader, who brings a wealth of experience in leadership, technology and health care to the organization. As President and Chief Operating Officer of Vitals, Tony is responsible for both the revenue generation and operational execution across all lines of business, including consumer, health plan and provider markets.
Prior to joining Vitals, Tony served as President of Erisco, where he spearheaded the development and launch of the Facets core administrative system. After the acquisition of Erisco by TriZetto in 2000, Tony played a major role in building and growing the business, holding several key senior leadership roles including President.
Tony graduated summa cum laude with a BS in systems engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.
Orlena YeungChief Experience Officer
Orlena came to Vitals after spending 13 years in digital entertainment building global consumer brands in the gaming and music industries. As Chief Experience Officer (CXO) of Vitals, Orlena leads both the Product and Marketing teams in designing, building, and promoting Vitals’ products and brand.
Before Vitals, Orlena worked in gaming at Sierra Online and later at Microsoft on the creation and growth of Xbox, Xbox Live, Xbox 360 brand strategies and design expressions. Most recently, Orlena was Vice President, Marketing and Product, at CBS Interactive Music where she oversaw brand, product, and marketing for Last.fm, Radio.com, and MP3.com.
Orlena earned a BA in English literature at the University of Puget Sound in her home state of Washington and also attended Beijing Language and Culture University.
Bryan PerlerChief Financial Officer
Bryan has deep experience leading technology companies through fast-paced and high growth environments. He joined Vitals as CFO to provide thought-leadership and structure to the company’s business operations, as well as financial analysis of organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
Before Vitals, Bryan was the CFO and Head of Strategy at Benchmark Solutions where he oversaw all strategic, financial and legal activities for the company. He also worked at Tradeweb Markets in a variety of escalation accounting, finance and business development roles, most recently as Director of U.S. Strategy and Business Development.
Bryan graduated from Lehigh University with a BS in Accounting.
Jeanne WisniewskiChief Human Resources Officer
Jeanne has over 25 years of experience as a business executive and human resources leader. As Chief Human Resources Officer at Vitals, Jeanne provides the strategies necessary to develop and grow a committed, high performing workforce.
Prior to joining Vitals, Jeanne was the Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Priceline.com where she oversaw the selection, development, compensation, retention, and downsizing of executives and staff. Before Priceline.com, Jeanne was the Executive Vice President of Oxford Health Plans where she led the growth and organization of its employee base from 100 to 8,300 employees.
Jeanne received her Masters of Public Administration from New York University and her BS in Nursing from Georgetown University.
Vitals business lines are led by seasoned executives with deep experience in both strategy and operations for digital media, health care payer and provider markets.
Jeff CutlerExecutive Vice President,
Business and Corporate Development
Jeff has extensive experience in digital media, online publishing and Internet services, including starting and running several successful top consumer, business and financial internet sites. Jeff joined Vitals in January 2009 and has closed many of our most strategic partnerships as well as leading our sites growth in traffic and revenue. Jeff is currently responsible for business and corporate development, including identifying and closing strategic partnerships that drive the company’s media, provider and payer businesses.
Prior to joining Vitals, Jeff was Chief Revenue Officer for Answers.com and WikiAnswers, the leading question and answers community site. In addition, Jeff has been a senior executive with SIIA, Inlumen (sold to MarketWatch), Office.com/Winstar, N2K, Thomson Financial and CompuServe.
John JordanExecutive Vice President,
Health Plan Market
John is a highly experienced health care executive with a proven track record in strategic market development across all segments of the health plan business. As Executive Vice President of the Health Plan Market, John is responsible for leading Vitals’ overall health plan business, including business development, solution deployment and client relationships.
Previously, John was President of TriZetto's National Accounts Market, focused on providing comprehensive products and services to health plans. Prior to TriZetto, John led sales at Erisco Managed Care Technologies, Inc., which was acquired by TriZetto in 2000. He also held senior positions at IBM and Cullinet Software, now part of Computer Associates.
Chris CosgroveExecutive Vice President and General Manager,
Chris has over 25 years of strategic operating and business development experience. He has managed solutions for complex hospital systems, created strategy for business development, and he has led product, sales and marketing teams. As Executive Vice President and General Manager of Provider Markets, Chris is responsible for growing and expanding the provider business at Vitals.
Prior to joining Vitals, Chris held senior leadership positions at Awarepoint Corporation, McKesson, Cerner, and GE Medical Systems.
Jeff LaPointeVice President and General Manager, Consumer Market
Jeff is an entrepreneur with a significant record of health IT leadership success in business, operations, technology and product roles. As Vice President and General Manager of Vitals consumer business, he is responsible for leading site revenue, traffic and business operations.
Prior to joining Vitals, Jeff was a founder and CTO of a consumer health care site, which he sold to the New York Times Co. and About.com. Under his direction, the site achieved dramatic traffic and revenue growth and was subsequently acquired by Vitals.
David BlumenthalVice President, Customer Experience
David has 20+ years of experience as a founder, builder, harvester, mentor and entrepreneur with a strong history of successful, measurable, results-oriented leadership. David joined Vitals in 2012 and is responsible for managing and enhancing the customer experience for all of our businesses.
Prior to joining Vitals, David was president of Forward Looking Management where he collaborated with leadership teams to create strategic and operational plans. He also founded and served as President and CEO of Flash Creative Management, a business technology company focused on assisting companies to identify their strategic objectives and tactical plans.
Josh KramonVice President, Advertising Sales
Josh has over 15 years of media sales experience in the pharmaceutical and health care arena. He joined Vitals in May of 2010 to spearhead direct ad sales at the company. He is responsible for building and managing the advertising sales team, as well as overseeing the direct ad sales initiatives and programs for the company.
Prior to Vitals, Josh was the first Group Sales Director at Healthline Networks, responsible for starting their direct media sales initiatives. He also worked across the health media landscape at Time Inc., The New York Times, and Thomson Healthcare.
Vitals was founded by a small group of dedicated individuals whose vision was simple: make it easy to find and connect with quality doctors. We applaud the commitment it took for them to first launch Vitals in 2008 and the contributions they still make to the company today.
Dr. Todd K. Rosengart
Dr. Todd K. Rosengart is a board certified cardiothoracic surgeon and brings the doctors’ perspective to his role as co-founder of Vitals. Besides acting as the voice of the medical community, Dr. Rosengart provides the business with pivotal thought-leadership on opportunities and regulations within the healthcare infrastructure.
In addition to his role at Vitals, Dr. Rosengart serves as Chair of the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Previously, he was professor and Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at SUNY-Stony Brook, as well as Co-Director of The Stony Brook University Medical Center Heart Center.
Erika Boyer helped build the Vitals database from the ground up, in addition to managing product development and marketing in the company’s first days.
Today, she directs the acquisition, implementation, development, and optimization of data for Vitals and strategic partnerships as Vice President of Data Operations.
Before coming to Vitals, Erika held senior marketing positions at companies like Raspberry Red Marketing, Awards.com, and a number of catalog and web properties at Genesis Direct.
Larry West was instrumental in building and adding functionality to the original Vitals.com site.
As our Chief Technology Officer, Larry now oversees our IT, Engineering, and Development teams in adding increased functionality to the site, as well as improving data and search-matching capabilities.
Before joining Vitals, Larry was Director of Technology for Frog Design, Inc. Earlier, he was Co-Founder and Vice President of Technology at ioLogics. He has also held senior executive roles at Vignette and Platinum Technology.
Pat Cervino contributed to collecting and building the first data elements for the site as a project manager during the early days of Vitals.
Her strong grounding in the company’s culture and vision, along with her talent for working with people, made Pat a natural fit for her current position as Director of Human Resources.
Before joining Vitals, Pat spent 30 years working in project management, purchasing, and product production for various organizations.
Jim Kafara played a major role in getting Vitals off the ground, from building the original website and SEO strategy, to assembling, training, and managing a data aggregation team.
Jim now oversees the implementation of ad campaigns, monitors performance metrics, and works with the sales team to bring new products to the marketplace as Director of Advertising Operations for Vitals.
Prior to joining Vitals, Jim was an e-commerce developer for RaspberryRed Marketing.
Michael Ramos, or just “Ramos” as he’s known around the office, was the creative force behind the original user interface, user experience, and page template designs of Vitals.
As Creative Director, Ramos now works with his team to meet the company’s product and marketing design needs.
Before Vitals, Ramos worked in web design and multimedia development for companies like Dialogic, Merck Medco, Reed Elsevier, and Montage Media.
Terry Hidalgo began her career at Vitals as the CEO’s Administrative Assistant, responsible for setting up and overseeing the accounts receivable and payable departments, as well as payroll and benefits for Vitals’ first employees. She was also the unofficial “Office Mom,” always there to lend a helping hand or encouraging words.
Today, Terry works in the finance department as Accounting Manager/Benefits Administrator for Vitals.
Previously, Terry spent 15 years in the retail and wholesale travel industry as a corporate travel consultant.
Lori Liszner began her work at Vitals with the daunting task of reviewing millions of data points for accuracy as our massive database was first being built.
Today, she’s the Manager of Data Acquisition, in charge of acquiring the billions of pieces of information that drive our doctor profiles and ensure that our provider information is up-to-date.
Before Vitals, Lori worked in direct marketing for a mail order catalog company.
Irving Weiss has been with Vitals since its inception, focusing on site structure and content as our resident “SEO Guru.”
The incredible traffic growth Vitals has seen each year since its founding can, in large part, be attributed to Irving’s work, which he continues with his team today as Director of Traffic.
Prior to Vitals, Irving was a network planner for IBM and an SEO consultant for companies like The Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, and Shape Magazine.
Richard D. Forman
Richard D. Forman is an advocate for using consumer technology to improve health care, bringing his passion for the field to his role as Co-Founder of Vitals. Richard promotes the Vitals mission through his position as managing partner of Health Venture Group, LLC and as a member of the Board for Vitals.
Previously, Richard was Co-Founder, President and CEO of Register.com where he earned Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Earlier in his career, Richard was a consultant with Booz & Company (f/k/a Booz, Allen & Hamilton) and an engineer at Motorola (Tel-Aviv) and General Motors.
