Dr. Tipple attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bacteriology in 1981. He then attended the Marquette University School of Dentistry receiving his DDS Degree in 1985.
In 1986, Dr. Tipple completed a one-year residency with the Milwaukee VA Medical Center. He then spent 3 years on Active Duty in the United States Air Force and eventually joined the Wisconsin Air National Guard retiring in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is an alumnus of the Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Study.
Dr. Tipple is a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church and volunteers for many church-related activities. He is a volunteer for many organizations around the Madison area including coaching youth baseball and basketball. He is a top team sponsor of multiple West Madison Little League teams. Dr. Tipple is also a sponsor of the Berbee Derby, which supports youth technology education. He also sponsors the Spring Sprint for …the Arboretum, which is a local center for environmental research. He supports amateur rowing and is the current treasurer for the Friends of the University of Wisconsin Men's Crew and Wisconsin Rowing Association. In 2006, he finished the Ironman Triathlon. He is married with three children. In his spare time he likes to be with his wife and kids or read.
