Dr. Adeyiza Olutoyin Momoh, MD

Dr. Momoh is highly unprofessional and unethical. He lied to me about the surgical technique he would use in order for me to schedule surgery with him. He told me to call my original surgeon and tell the doctor that the work was horrible, and he made me very upset. I left crying because I am a younger patient and when I opened my gown, he dropped his jaw open, widened his eyes, then placed his hand over his mouth and pointed at my breast. He told me he had never seen worse work and went on to detail everything that was wrong with my reconstruction.

He did not listen to me I wanted fat removed from my belly when I woke up my butt was sore because he removed fat from my butt. I have a lot of scarring on my chest with the breast surgery

Dr. Sabel saved my life,but Dr. Momoh saved me! I consulted with 2 other plastic surgeons who did not listen to what I wanted,they only tried to push me into implants for reconstruction because that was the only option in their skill set. Every woman needs to be given ALL the reconstruction options and Dr. Momoh does just that. My reconstruction (DIEP FLAP) looks and feels as close as you can get to natural.Thank you Dr. Momoh!!!

If you found Dr. Momoh, you are very lucky! This is the reconstruction doctor you want! I had Dr. Momoh do my double reconstruction in 2013. Every year when I go to see the oncologist, they always tell me how amazed they are at how natural my breasts look. It always makes me feel so good about my choices. I'm so thankful that I found Dr. Momoh, and if you found him too, you are very lucky!

I recently had reconstructive surgery w/ Dr. Momoh. I found him to be very perceptive, patient, & respectful. He politely answered all of my questions, even ones not directly pertaining to my surgery, & never made me feel rushed. I cannot same the same about every physician I have ever encountered. His team is excellent. They are very responsive & helpful -- especially his P.A. Lauren, who is absolutely awesome! The reconstruction that he did also turned out well. I read/heard somethings about him that was not reflective of my experience. Namely... "He has a great sense of humor." He actually seemed very serious to me. Perhaps I just got him on particularly un-funny days. "He's very strict about not showering until your drains are out." This was not at all my experience. After my surgery, I saw only other members of his team (PAs, residents, etc.). None of them had a problem with me showering as long as my drains were covered. "He's not very emotionally… supportive." Again, not reflective of my experience. I found him to be very personable & respectful of my questions & comments. I do not know that I have ever come across a physician whom I thought was particularly emotionally supportive. I am very happy to have found one (a surgeon at that) who is personable & respectful.

My mother is 68 years old and had breast cancer. Dr. Momoh was exceptional in the way that he spoke to my mother, explained things to her, and worked with her reconstruction surgery at EVERY appointment, EVERY surgery, EVERY meeting with her. I highly recommend that if you are undergoing a reconstructive surgery or procedure that you contact this Doctor immediately. He is the best in Michigan when it comes to saving your breast after cancer and his is the best when it comes to dealing with women at one of the hardest times in their lives. Oh...and he has a great sense of humor :)

Upon first review, before my mastectomy, Dr. Momoh was very cordial and patient with me in explaining the breast reconstructive process. Three and a half weeks after my mastectomy, I had another visit with him. His tune had totally changed. He wanted to know why I hadn't allowed my husband to see my scar. When I told him it was ugly and I wasn't ready for that, he sternly admonished me for that decision. He told me "For better or worse and this was the worse part," that I needed to "deal with it," and not shut him out of the process. He told me it was going to be a very long process, and I needed to include him. His words may have been correct, but his tone of voice was of stern admonishment, and I felt of a misogynous nature. Also, it is MY decision to make, not his as to when I was ready to share with my husband. I left, shaking, sobbing and in despair. His diatribe only served to send me into despair, despondency and isolation with thoughts of suicide. Dr. Momoh is not… certified psychologically to make those decisions for me; only I can decide when I am ready to make that choice. As a result, I cancelled all further appointments with Dr. Momoh. My opinion is that unless you are male, only then can you be on an equal relationship with Dr. Momoh.

I would recommend Dr. Mohmo to any of my friends. He is personable, knowledgeable and highly competent. I was very satisfied with my surgical outcome after breast cancer reconstruction.
