Personal Statement:
Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have the opportunity to introduce myself. I am an emergency medicine physician and have been practicing at Bellflower Medical Center for the past nine years. I feel extremely fortunate to be part of the Kaiser Permanente family because it truly is a great organization for health care where all decisions about treatments are determined by doctors, patients, and their family members. I look forward to be working with you to care for your health.
I was born in Vietnam and moved to Northern California when I was ten year old. I obtained a BS degree in biological sciences at UC Davis, and then I moved to New York to attend medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. After graduating from medical school, I moved to Southern California to do my residency in emergency medicine. Because of the beautiful weather of Southern California, my family and I decided to stay here, and I joined the Southern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. I love to travel to different countries and places in the world to experience the different cultures and food. When I am abroad, I often offer my service as a doctor to the local hospitals and clinics. Helping take care of the patients at these small local clinics reminds me of the reason I became a doctor.
Emergency Medicine is an important aspect of my life. I am here to help you and take care of your health. Your health is very important to me and I feel honored to be entrusted with the care of your health. I feel that as a patient you should be treated as if you are a member of my family because as a Kaiser Permanente member, you do belong to a big family of health care.
I do believe in the Kaiser Permanente philosophy of thriving. I try to live a balanced life between my work and my family. I love to spend time with my wife and my three daughters, either when we are traveling to places or just spending a quiet weekend afternoon at home. I try to eat balance meals and exercise at least three times a week. I do believe that staying healthy physically and mentally will enable me to stay focused and thrive in my patient care.
