Patient Reviews ? Write a Review
Dr is very nice and attentive but bad at following up with patient.Always seems like he is in too much of a hurry.Staff is AWFUL!!!!!!bad at follow up,referrals, answering phones, caring, etc etc etc
I rated the Staff, Diagnosis, Manner, and Follow up all average because I was not actually able to get in for an appt.. However, I felt it necessary to leave a review because most of the reviews are not recent. I called on 2 different lines. My house # first after about 10 minutes of holding I thought they may have forgotten about my call so I called from my cell and continued to hold on both lines. The total hold time was 32 minutes. When the staff member answered I asked for a same day which they did not have available. She informed me that I should have called in earlier (mind you I made my initial call at 8am, when they opened). She continued to say they accept 5 walk ins every morning between 8-9am and since they already did that for today I can try to walk in tomorrow or schedule my child for next week. I would not recommend this practice to anyone . I have also been reminded why after 7 years in the high desert I have kept my children's pediatrician down the hill. Service and quality has been no existent in the High Desert
I love Dr. Sharma, as my pediatrician because he knows what he is doing , and cares about his patients. His staff is excellent.
Good luck getting past their incompetent staff to get an appointment. We called twice to get an appointment for our newborn and both times they said they would call us back. That never happened.. We finally desided to just go in and try to make an appointment or get our new baby in as soon as possible. The hicky covered girl at the front desk informed us that they would not be able to see us for four days even though our baby was high risk for jaundice and we had tried to make an appointment previously. So... Good luck.
Amazing! He is really good and does what's best for you. I'd give him five stars if it wasn't for the wait
Trying to get an appointment with the doctor is frustrating. It begins with at least 5-15 minutes of being on hold. When you do get to make an appointment it is always one month out. It is impossible to actually see the DOCTOR at this office without waiting for weeks. Latest appt w/Dr. is at 3pm. Getting a call back after getting X-Rays or blood work? Doesn't happen, it's your responsibility to call them, leave a message, and hope they get back to you. Need a referral? Well, that won't happen...after leaving SEVERAL messages I still haven't received a call back from their office manager (or whoever does referrals). Ended up using PPO at a different Dr. office.
I LOVE Dr Sharma he really is the best. He's been the doctor for my kids since they were born, he is awesome with my kids, BUT office staff really sucks. All rude and not polite at all. Specially all the girls at the front desk. I work for a medical field also and Ive never seen this happened anywhere else.
I love dr. sharma hes great with our son , very impressed HOWEVER !! HIS STAFF IS TERRIBLE , AS SOON AS YOU WALK IN THEY LOOK AT YOU AS IF YOUR DOING SOMTHING WRONG ( that's if they even acknowledge you at all) BY THE TIME THE UNPROFESSIONAL GIRL BEHIND THE DESK IS DONE PUTTING ON HER MAKE UP , SHE CHECKS YOU IN,, THEN AFTER SITTING FOR "ATLEAST" AN HOUR OF ANT INFESTED SEATS YOU FINALLY GET CALLED BACK, WITH NO ID BADGE OR ANY INTRODUCTION FROM STAFF, A RANDOM GIRL HELPS WITH YOU HER 4 WEEKS OF EXPERIENCE , then dr. sharma comes in an its all good, ..THATS THE HONEST TRUTH,,HEY IT IS WHAT IT IS...
Dr. Sharks is a great and caring man however people would not know that based on his front desk staff. The woman with the dark is rude and very short. She never wants to answer questions and if she does she is rude about it. Wait time is 4 hours and counting...
Dr Sharma is truly wonderful. He listens a d makes all three of our children feel comfortable. His staff however is typically very disorganized and they give the impression that you are an annoyance simply b/c you walked in the door. The PA is ok but her bedside manner is lacking. Wait times are always well over an hour past appointment times, usually closer to two hours past. The worst by far is the billing department. I am to the point where I will not pay anything until after they have billed the insurance. (This at the recommendation of our insurance company). We have been over charged on multiple occasions. At one point I had to ask the dr during an appointment about getting our refund ($50 and over three months since overpayment determination was made).
First of all, let me say Dr. Sharma is a wonderful dr!! we love HIM. But his front staff is horrible! i work in front office, i know how HECTIC it could get, but still, love YOUR job or get a new one. The front office girls are always rude, half of the time i wonder if they even know what they are doing!! i recently asked for a copy of my daughters immunization record, not even thinking to review it, i handed it to my daughters school to find that certain dates were scribbled out on when she had her immunizations. when i called the office to notify them, they said, "well are you sure YOU didnt cross them out?"Surely, i wouldnt cross out dates, but what kind of office does this?!?Also, i found out, they were not filling out other dates when she had her shots.Because of all this, im done with taking my child here, sorry for Dr. Sharma, but he needs professionals in the office.
My family has been visiting Dr Sharmas office for over 6 years. First I would like to say that Dr Sharma himself kept us coming back. We have an outstanding medical insurance plan that gives us the choice of any Doctor, and if it wasn't for Dr Sharmas care and bedside manor, we would have driven down the hill to visit another Pediatrician long ago.. His office staff, and PA on the other hand caused us to grit our teethe each visit. It appears to me that they do not enjoy their job and pass that misery on to the waiting parents. Its an overbooking thing.. Unfortunately, the choices in this area are few and far between. It appears that they have started the Obama care early. They book by the numbers to make up for the loss in revenue from the MediCal and the non- insured patients. The last few years have changed dramatically. Each time you schedule an appointment, the waits have been in excess of 2 hours. And most of those appointments are to see a PA. Really! Why schedule? So, the time has come for us to make a change. Its all about customer service!
Yes, you will have to wait a while in the waiting area to see him, but it's the only doctor I feel is actually worth the wait. He will make sure that every one of your concerns is addressed and he has great skills in communicating with children. His office staff are okay, I have been put on hold on the phone for over 5 minutes (currently on hold as I type this!), but it's kind of understandable with how busy his office is.
Dr. Sharma is the best Pediatrician. I think he is wonderful. Some of the reviews were pretty bad about the staff but I thought they were nice & pleasant. He calms down your baby if it's upset and always has time for extra questions. I wish he could be my doctor.
Dr. Sharma is great with kids! He is always pleasant and willing to answer all of my questions. It's a shame that his staff can be so rude and un-friendly! Three times I have gone for my daughter's well baby appointment's and they have forgotten to sign me in causing the already long wait to be even longer! They never smile and always seem bothered to answer any questions.
So great! Awesome bedsimde manner with the kids, I miss it here!
It's nearly impossible to schedule an appointment to see Dr., specially now that he has PA. With appointment, the waiting time in office still pretty bad. The doctor himself is friendly and good with kids.
I was in exam room two today, and was amazed on how dirty the room was from the lack floor maint., exam table dirty on the sides, wall and cabinets dirty. Your office once was very clean and nice, its starting to look like a wellfare clinic.
Dr. Sharma hasmisdiagnosed my daughter with a serious mediacl condidtion all beacuse his ghetto staff failed to correctly read a imaging report. She is now left having to endure two surgeries and has scarred kidneys. He has also ran very high medical bills Just because I have a ppo. He is a monstr. My daughter is 2 and her life will never be the same.
He is the 5th memeber of our family. I trust him with my sons lives. You can tell he really cares and gives them personal attention. They both like going to the doctor! It's a little rough sometimes to deal with the office staff, and most doctors are not worth the hassel and wait, but he is. No question is silly or goes without an answer. I wish my doctor was as great. He is a dad, and it shows.
Awesome Dr. that really cares about children! Wait time is super long and it is not always easy to get an appointment when your child is sick, but when you have his time & attention, you really have his time & attention.
I have yet to have a visit where I did not think that Dr. Sharma was amazing. He continually cares for my sons.... always hugs my oldest... and rocks and snuggles the babies! He is very thoughtful and reassuring to the parents and continues to give excellent medical care. He always follows up with the patients. He does see alot of children.. probably because he is the best in the desert... so the wait time can be long sometimes. Be prepaired to spend at least an hour... sometimes longer! OVERALL... I COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER DOCTOR FOR MY BOYS!
