Dr. Alden George Cockburn, MD

From receptionist to assistant to Doctor, my experience was as excellent as a doctors visit could be. He is kind and funny as well as a super diagnostician. I really feel as if I got my monies worth.

I am so happy with Dr. Cockburn. He has helped me more than any doctor that I have been to. He listens and then he knew when to do surgery on me. I feel better than I have in years and years.

I see this doctor every 4 months for following my prostate cancer. He is always on top of it. He is funny too. An added bonus. He did my surgery and now I am cancer free.

Dr. Cockburn (a Scottish name, by the way, which is pronounced co-burn), met me in the ER when I was bleeding into my urine so badly that I could not stand up. He arrived in a heartbeat and quite literally saved my life. He was caring, compassionate and skilled. I was in surgery before 2 hours passed and we will be forever grateful for him.

I was seen as an emergency and this doctors knew exactly what was wrong. I feel so much better. I'm very grateful.

Dr. Cockburn is dismissive and condescending. His office overbooks appointmens, so patients are left waiting over an hour for their scheduled appointment. He recommended I take medication for my bladder, and the guidelines clearly stated that it wouldn't be good for those with sensitive stomaches, which I have. I mentioned this and he dismissed my concern and said "oh, it'll help with that." It didn't. My stomache was too sensitive to keep taking the medication. He also charged me for surgery after simply doing an ultrasound...one that was not necessary.Also, on a "flag-raising" side-note, his last name is Cockburn, pronounced cok-burn, but he insists on his patients pronouncing his last name Cog-burn, with a g, because he works with a lot of women...seriously?! Is he 12? Someone who isn't mature enough to handle their last name surely isn't mature enough to be dealing with medical issues.

Office was very clean. Everyone made me feel comfortable, right down to the medical assistant.

He performed a vasectomy reversal on me and it worked. I love this man. He was so kind and caring and explained everything.

Great bedside manner, excellent at explaining the problem and options for treatment.
