Dr. Parikh failed to inform me last year that my annual post-surgical CT showed abnormalities in my bladder/kidneys. Now, 12 months and another CT later, I have been referred to a Surgical Oncologist in Urology. Dr. Parikh failed miserably. If he had done a follow-up, I would not be waiting to find if the changes seen last year have become cancerous. There is no excuse. He was very irresponsible, unprofessional and uncaring. Vanderbilt Medical Center should not allow his behavior to go unaddressed.

RUN!!!!! FAST!!!!
Fair and Accurate Diagnosis
This man convinced my mother that she had a cancerous tumor that needed to be removed. She trusted him, although there were NO indications on any of her tests that she had cancer, other than the small tumor itself on CT. All cancer markers, blood tests, subsequent scans - all normal. He butchered her!! He cut way more than he should and after several operations and many days in SICU, he could not fix her. She required over 120 units of blood product, kidneys failed, liver failed, brain damage, paralysis. And guess what??? The tumor he removed was NOT cancerous, not in the slightest. But, what can you do? She consented to let this man and/or the resident surgeons chop her up like some freak science experiment. She was only 57 years old. Funny thing, she had the surgery out of fear of not living to see her grandchildren grow up, and what ultimately happened, she died anyway! She could have lived with that NON-CANCEROUS tiny little tumor for the rest of her natural days, but no, Dr. Parikh had to get his grubby, greedy, irresponsible hands on her. Hope he's at least proud of himself!

Very professional, thorough and compassionate. I couldn't be more grateful and fortunate than to have had Dr. Parikh perform my Whipple procedure. Even the residents were a pleasure to have involved in my care.
