Dr. Wyler successfully performed brain surgery on me in the early 80's when seizure disorders had created a hardship for all of my teen years and the few adult years I had lived at the time- it was so hard to endure. As a selected candidate through the UW, he performed brain surgery in a location with minimal chance of success. It has been more than 30 years with no seizures. Life has been much more, and much longer (I just turned 60!), than it would have ever been without his skills.

I met Dr. Wyler when I called the Epilepsy Foundation in the region and asked them if there was a neurologist there that would treat the patients like a person; someone that knew what in the devil they were doing instead of experimenting on the patients! I was glad to meet a doctor that would honestly listen to me and tried to help me overcome not only the seizures but the psychological trauma that accompanies being an out-of-control convusive patient. Thanks Doc - if you ever come fishing in this part of the country again, I've got a great trout spot for you!

After taking the maximum doses of numerous medications without sucess I opted for surgery. I had even participated in drug studies! I was told to expect an improvement, but I was ecstatic to learn that the surgery made me totally seizure free!

After a successful surgery and staying seizure free for life I feel I have not thank this wonderful surgeon enough. Although there are excellent surgeons out who are caring and compassionate as Dr. Wyler with his early retirement he is missed very much.
