I went to see Dr Morchower for the first time two months ago. He is knowledgable and I think top of his field for this specialty. My pain is now controlled and my quality of life is much better. My family doctor referred me to him.
Dr. Morchower has managed my pain for 3 years, and he has been the best doctor that I have ever been to. He spends time with his patients, and never makes them feel like he is too busy to listen to their issues. He works with the patient to make sure that they have the best pain management possible; he has been very attentive in my medical needs in trying to find the solution to correcting the problem with my failed back surgery. I always enjoy visiting his office as the wait is never long, and the staff is great to work with. I will continue going to Dr. Morchower for as long as I need to as I know that he cares about my medical issues and will work with me to do what is needed to alleviate them.
Dr Morchower is terrific doctor for pain management. I feel like he's one of the last of the "old-fashioned" type of doctors because he takes time to fully examine me and explains everything to me. I have been to two other pain management doctors and they don't examine or seem to care. Dr Morchower is always the one who sees me and he always asks questions about my life outside of his office to help me with my pain. He is as good as they come in this specialty!! I love his new office staff.
This doctor is a joke!!! He will take your money and run.
The staff was excellent. Dr Morchower spent a few with me then told me he need to see a friend MD. about 20 mins later he came in and said he was unable to do anything for me. diabetic neurologic patient that was the wrong doctor and did not understand why the Baylor ER doctor and my own PCP referred him to me. Dr Morchower received my information from Baylor and new why I was there. Dr Morchower lied to me. This is what I believed happen, just he was examining me he said to me a doctor friend wanted to see him, "he'll be right back" about 20 minutes later he returned and without examination he said i was done please pay on my way out. This is how i was treated as a patient. I called my doctor's office and they were shocked at his behavior. He was very immature, greedy, poor practice of medicine. Don't let your loved ones experience this nightmare. I believe i will contact the dept. of health and medicare.
Great office staff and medical staff. Dr has an excellent bedside manner, is very efficient and very likeable. I would recommend anyone with a pain problem to see him
My experience has been the same I had been a patient with Dr. Morchower prior to him opening his own practice his office staff was great these people he has working for him now are apathetic, could care less. Brian is a joke, his MA.
Great experience. Dr. Morchower has great bedside manner, is knowledgeable, and takes time to listen and explain. This is the first doctor's office at which I have ever felt welcomed. Highly Recommended!
I was a patient of Dr. Morchower's over the past year. At first, I had thought he and I were building a decent patient doctor relationship. Everything has gone downhill since he moved his practice. As instructed by the doctor, two weeks before I was to run out of pain medicine, I tried to get an appointment. After calling Dr. Morchowerâs office, I was told that I had to get another referral from my primary doctor. Even though, I was already seeing Dr. Morchower at his previous practice. This took two weeks to get, after calling my primary care doctor and the insurance companyâs approval. I called back, trying to make another appointment to find out that Dr. Morchower, no longer accepts my current insurance. No one from Dr. Morchowerâs office explained that on the previous phone call. That should have been the first thing they checked. When I began asking questions, the staff did not seem concerned. I was trying to find ways to see the doctor. By now, I was down to a few days of medicine left. I was willing to pay the out of pocket cost, until the insurance thing was corrected. However, Dr. Morchowerâs office wanted to treat me as a new patient, charging $250 for my visit. The out of pocket cost for all current patients is $150, which they claimed I did not fit that category. As I said before, I have been seeing the doctor over the past year. The office staff knew I was willing to pay the out of pocket fee. However, I was not willing to be charged the $250. As a veteran, I do not make a ton of money, yet I was willing to stay with the doctor. Which now I am not willing to remain with him nor his staff. I ran out of pain medicine and it has taken an additional three weeks to get it filled. Then I had called the office three times, asking the doctor to return my calls. It has been a month now, and I have not heard anything. No phone call, no insurance update, no patient care. Why does my primary doctor/staff have to work extra when a referral doctor does not? Surely seems that patients are only a concern when you have insurance and are willing to pay extra. His staff should have taken my offer to pay the out of network fee. Dr. Morchower should have returned my call, and then wrote me a prescription until this was corrected. What happened to caring for the patient?
I have seen Dr. Morchower for over 2 years and overall have been happy with him esp since he is the first doctor to successfully treat my migraines. He moved to a new office and I was treated as a new patient. When I first went, the office had no record of my appointment. I had brought my complete medical history & left it with the staff & made a new appt for the following week. The medical history I had left had mysteriously been lost when I came for the new appt & I was left trying to remember from memory the meds I take, all my surgeries (many), etc. as Dr. M was typing it into his laptop (in my opinion all that should have been taken care of before I came). The doctor seemed very distracted during the entire visit & then I was told he was not set up to do the procedure for which I had made the appt. The final blow was when he came in at the end to inform me that his practice does not take my insurance (something I had confirmed that they did when I called to make the original appt.). Two completely wasted trips!
This was my first visit to see Dr. Morchower. The day before my visit my wife and I searched the internet and came across these postings which were both negative and positive. After reading the negative posts I was concerned and considered cancelling, but after reading the positive posts I decided to keep my appointment. I'm glad I did. I have have been to OK doctors and great doctors.and Dr. Morchower would get an A in my book! The entire staff was great, nurse and doctor spent plenty of time with me, they were professional, courteous and understood my PAIN. Yes, he did carry around his laptop, he was constantly checking my records and inputting what I feel was important information into my file. Kudos to him for that! (Dr. Morchower was very familiar with my orthopedic surgeon and Physical Therapist) He listened, he cared and gave me sound advice and, I feel, prescribed exactly what I needed at this point in my health care. I would highly recommend Dr. Morchower to anyone with pain issues. To anyone who is looking for pain relief, there is hope and a team of good people to help you.
Amazing doctor and staff who truly listen. Dr Morchower helped me have a life again.
I've been a health care provider in a large local hospital for over 20 years. I've worked with many physicians, good and bad, and found Dr. Morchower to be an outstanding physician. He has an excellent bedside manner, is very knowledgeable and possesses superb assessment skills. I suffer from chronic back pain as result of a motor vehicle crash 5 years ago. It has significantly impacted my mobility. Upon my first visit Dr. Morchower started me on a treatment plan that now has my pain under control, allowing me to become more physically active thereby greatly improving my quality of life. The office staff was great. My experience was second to none.
I have been going to doctors for 10 plus years and have seen countless doctors to treat my chronic leg and back pain . And there's nothing I hate worse than to be put off or to be led along by a doctor . The very first time I went to Dr Morchower I thought oh boy here we go again , when I saw Dr. Morchower in his computer like no tomorrow . So I put him to the test and believe me I test a new Dr like they test me and when I started seeing that he could word for word repeat anything I told him I was very impressed! Then I saw that this Dr. Actually cared! We'll I started having a totally did opinion of Dr. Morchower . I tried for the last two years to get a MRI done and with in the first month I already had it and also tried for two years to get a Dr to get me hooked up with a spinal cord stimulator and again right off the bat he responded and got it done . It takes talent to treat these types of injuries and Dr Morchower is committed to his passion , helping people. I mean to the point of actually talking to you on the phone , something you can forget from other doctors. So if your needing that Dr that goes above and beyond to come up with a treatment plan tailored specially for you Sr Morchower is your best bet the only thing I don't like about Sr Morchower is that I didn't run onto him sooner. I highly recommend Dr Morchower.
I was not excited about seeing a spine specialist for my chronic neck pain, however my first visit with Dr Morchower went very well and he helped me understand what was going on in my neck. We went over the MRI extensively and he answered all my questions so that I could understand. All my treatment options were laid out and I was very pleased. I have seen Dr Morchower a total of 5 times as of this writing and all encounters have been excellent. He has a great bedside manner and I never feel rushed. My wife and I agree that I am lucky to have found this doctor. P.S. My neck pain is 90% better and I owe that to Dr Morchower and his staff.
I had great hopes for this guy. He's young, energetic, distractably handsome. What a letdown. He has great disdain for Medicaid patients, had little to no regard to my suffering, and even cleverly made fun of me while I was face down during a procedure. He made me feel unimportant and ashamed of my own need for intervention--whether it be surgery, procedure, or medication. I tried so hard to connect with him so he would see me as a person and not a barcode but he was very flippant about my pain. It's very disheartening.
I have been seeing Dr. Morchower for four months now, and he has changed my quality of life. Yes I still have lower back pain but Andrew has brought my pain level down so that I'm active and can perform my job to its fullest..I read some negative reviews before writing mine. I have one thing to say to them.. He's trained to know an addict when he sees one..he has changed my life for the better. Be nice and others will be nice you....
I have been to many doctors for my pain, most of them don't care and just write me pain meds and send me on my way. Dr. Morchower listened and set up a plan to help manage my pain and other options like minimally invasive surgery if necessary. Thanks.
The negative reviews here are SPOT ON with what I experienced. He runs in with his laptop and starts trying to fill in his report, so he can get done and run to the next one. He cut me off constantly, interrupted me, VERY RUDE. He does not listen. When he has his report filled in, he's done with you. More importantly, he did NOT manage my pain. Three hydrocodone a day, along with 15 mg twice a day of OxyContin. That was the best he could do! What a joke! I wish I could pass my pain to him, then maybe he would care! Does NOT respond to phone calls!
He truly cares for his patients and does everything he possibly can to help find the testing & treatments leaving no stone unturned. Because of him I ...
I will recommend Dr. Andrew Morchower to EVERYONE I know. I was so impressed and blown away by how he is an advocate for his patients. When he says he will find a place for testing or treatment, or he will do everything he can, he really does it. I am so grateful to him. He restored by hope that some doctors really do care about helping their patients. He and his staff were such an answer to prayer.
Very poor bedside manner. Doesn't take the time to listen and interrupted constantly when I was explaining my problem. When I explained I've already tried injections for pain, he said he couldn't help me and I should see someone else. Would not recommend
Dr Morchower was kind and considerate of my pain. He made me feel very at ease and did not rush me with the questions that I had for him. I recommend this doctor to my mother in law and she was also pleased with her visit.
A friend of mine recommended Dr. Morchower for treatment of my low back AND my neck pain. He took the time to listen to all of my concerns and explained my problem to me so I could understand what was going on with me. He seemed very educated about a lot of different therapies which are available to help my pain. I am grateful to have found such a great doctor.
