Been going to Dr. Bowers over 20 years and am very pleased with my care. I have ongoing skin cancer problems and she keeps me in good shape and sends me to a MOHs surgeon when needed.

Based on all the reviews that claim Angela Bowers to be such a wonderful dermatolgist, I assumed that both my experiences must just be the 'norm' in the world of dermatology....UNTIL I found out how different good competent care really is. Not only did I wait several months for both my visits, I was completely blindsided by how poor a checkup I had. At least on my first visit, I did get a somewhat 'full body checkup' that my insurance company was charged for - however, when I asked why she did not look at my scalp, the reply was "I don't unless someone asks me to". The second visit was disgraceful. I think even her own nurse was shocked. I was taken to a room where the nurse was about to give me a gown. The doctor walked in and half heartedly grabbed my arm...lifted it up, looked at my neck...said have you noticed anything....and said ok, see you next year. I was so shocked (after waiting quite a few months to even get in after having a broken neck and being unable to ascertain… my own body from head to toe). that I said nothing and left before I got angry at the wasted time and unprofessional visit...so, I truly hope that anyone really wanting to be confident they do not have skin cancer goes somewhere that carefully looks you over from head to toe, or it just might be too late when someone else takes the time to find it. I felt compelled to write this, though my visit has been over a year ago, because I now see that this is NOT the way an important thing such as this should be handled. Yes, she is very nice but that won't save your life when something goes unnoticed from a careless and speedy half -hearted visit to this doctor. I'm sorry to say this, as I never write reviews, but now that I've seen what a real exam should consist of, this was inexcusable and a risk to my well-being. Sometimes we just don't realize that until we are exposed to how things really SHOULD BE.

Dr. Bowers is very conscientious and professional as they? She takes care of my skin and is honest and expedient. Her staff is unbelievably kind and accommodating as well. She treats my whole family now. I recommend this professional !

My son had a rash on his face that turned out to be staph. Dr. Bowers office got us in very quickly and treated him aggressively. His face was completely clear within the week with no scarring. She also gave us tips to prevent this from happening again. Would definitely recommend!

Best dermatologist ever!!! Super nice, takes time for ALL my questions, and accurately diagnoses me EVERY TIME. She had treated me, my husband, and kids for years and does a great job the FIRST TIME. TOTALLY trust her!!

It is apparent that Dr. Bowers is thorough and knowledgeable. She diagnosed carcinoma on my husband's nose after being missed by another dermatologist.

Extremely courteous staff that puts you at ease from the moment they greet you. Dr. Bowers is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She has the best bed-side manor of any doctor we have seen. We highly recommend Dr. Bowers and her staff at Southlake Dermatology.
