Dr. Anna Minster, MD

She misdiagnosed my child and told me the symptoms were in her head. She gets very frustrated if you don't answer her questions the way she wants. Turns out that my child has an illness that would not have been diagnosed if I hadn't advocated for my daughter and pushed Dr. Minster for further testing about 8 months after she was first seen. Dr. Minster is very harsh in how she speaks to patients. My daughter was in tears at two appointments because Dr. Minster was "mean". Inexcusable. If she doesn't like working with children she should find a new job.

Extremely knowledgeable, very reachable, super kind!

After reading the reviews here I was quite concerned about an upcoming visit with this dr. My child had his appt a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Minster was very efficient and in the beginning of the visit there were moments I felt a little frustrated as the questions were brisk and did not leave much wiggle room. In fairness we were coming from out of state and were late for the appt. Although I could see how her approach might seem rude, I really felt like this was more due to someone who is very efficient in her work and knows what needs to be addressed. During the course of the visit we found Dr. Minster to be funny, pleasant, and encouraging. It was obvious as she worked with my son that she cared for her patients. There were a few things she urged us to do but it did not seem condescending at all nor did it seem she was looking down at us. We have seen our share of neurologists over the years, and overall, this was the best experience we've had with one. I have… no hesitation going back. I'm giving 3 stars for follow up just because we haven't needed that yet.

Dr. Minster has to be one of the worst doctors out there. I went as a patient due to excessive weakness and numbness in my arms and legs. She consistently made things worse and will misdiagnose you with something due to the lack of tests she performed. She just said that my symptoms were all in my head because my parents divorced. Fast forward to today I went to see a new neurologist and it turns out I have multiple lesions on my brain and I could possible have MS which could have been spotted years earlier if Dr. Minster would have done her job and cared about something other than a paycheck.

She can be impatient, and wants you to follow questions exactly as asked. Don't jump ahead because she will correct you, and tell you to wait. I was becoming aggitated with her mannerism.

Dr. Minster does not listen to either her patients or their parents. She seems to have a pre-conceived diagnosis before she even begins the examination. She is very brusque and reprimands you if disagree with anything she says. In our visit, she would not allow us to provide details related to the problems my daughter was having. Rather, she had a fixed list of questions and did not stray from that list.

Dr.Minster misinterprets everything i try to explain. She will actually argue with me about my child. I have found information online and in books about my childs problems, and she dismisses it as junk.
