Dr. Anthony Edward Raspanti, MD

I don’t recommend this doctor to anyone. I had surgery on my hip while in hospital with pneumonia. He said I needed a second surgery so he did it. I ended up with excessive pain and bleeding in my hip area. Since then I have been on a wound vac (finally got it removed) and ended up spending 6 weeks on it. I lost over 20 pounds and couldn’t take a shower or was my hair. I could go on on about him but I don’t want to waste my time on an inadequate doctor. Yes he no longer works at Caromont and I am so glad that he won’t put anyone else with what he did to me! And I was back in the hospital again and the doctors seemed glad he was gone. Finally when I am able to find him I totally expect him to come up with a reason he did the second surgery and I plan on suing him.

Just got a notification that Dr. Raspanti is no longer with Caromont Surgical Associates. I had emergency surgery and have practically no scar. Couldn’t say much about the surgery itself, since I was under anesthesia,but the aftercare was excellent and appointment was prompt.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, he made up clinical notes saying that he examined my son and that he diagnosed my son with a condition and he never even met my son. I found all this out on My Chart and confronted him about it and all he could do was apologize because he was caught and said "What can I do to make this right" . I brought my concerns to Caromont Heath officials David Ploeger ,Dr. Adcock and Dr Raspanti and they brushed off as of it was ok and acceptable . My son since then had been diagnosed with a serious medical condition that was over looked by Dr. Raspanti due to him never even meeting my son. I was told by two nurses at Caromont when I found out what was being done and was told that this happens all the time especially with this particular doctor. this particular doctor. If I could give a no star review I would.

A delightful man! Upbeat, personable, he eased my fears of surgery almost immediately. One week after gall bladder removal, and I am healing up perfectly.

Dr. Raspanti saved my life. I suffered from diverticulosis for years only to be sent home from the ER constantly with Cipro and told to "deal with it". My intestines were a mess to which he caught and repaired. He has a wonderful bedside manner, was very informative of any questions I had, and while I was in the hospital his professionalism was beyond measure. Should I need surgery again, he is the one I would most definitely see again. Thank you Dr. Raspanti for all you did for me.
