Dr. Asif Azeem, MD

I had a colonoscopy with Dr Azeem recently. I believe this may have been my 5th or 6th one with him. Every one of them went exceptionally smoothly. Dr. Azeem is the most attentive provider I've ever encountered. Many people cringe at the thought of having a colonoscopy, but I, in some sick way, almost look forward to it. I've had a handful of polyps removed over the years and my last checkup show there were now none. The anaesthesia has always been administered in a way that I was totally relaxed during the process but quickly back to my senses shortly after without any "hangover" type feeling.

Dr. Azeem is very rude and interrupts you when you ask questions instead of taking the time to answer and help you. He also makes you feel stupid about the questions you ask. Also, he is refusing to help treat my husband's condition and is proving to be extremely difficult to work with. I wish we never saw Dr. Azeem and would have seen a different doctor. Would never recommend to anyone. He is never prepared for meetings and doesn't seem to know anything about the patient each time we go in.

I was very satisfied with his news and why the pain. He is very matter of fact & doesn't beat around the bush & tells you what to do to help the situation. I recommend him in a heartbeat. Put my life in his hands. He really knows what he's talking about. I take liquid med for my intestine & he tied some veins in my throat because if he hadn't the would rupture & I'd bleed out & gone.

Dr. Azeem prescribed several drugs to be taken concurrently including Imuran, Humira, Uceris, Asacol, and high doses of Imodium without any recommended blood work testing protocols. Once questioned, he became offended, ordered incomplete tests, and the messages received were confusing and contradictory. He also added Entyvio without telling us to stop the other biologic, Humira. My son developed a high fever on a Friday and we could not reach the doctor until office hours. A nightmare.

Excellent bedside manor. Spends time to explain issues and answers all of our questions. I have told many people how pleased I am with Dr. Azeem and his staff.

Dr. Azeem has cared for me for 20years and he is a wonderfully caring professional. My children (god forbid) will go to him also if the need should arise. Dr. is very good at handling emergencies and returning phone calls.
