Dr. Audrey Whilma Henry, MD

Dr. Henry was the doctor who immediately knew what tests to administer to our mother in early 2006 when our mother began exhibiting unusual behavior. Our mother had just turned eighty. And a brain scan in addition to questions and other tests detected our mother had early onset dementia. We are a family that is very close knit. At every appointment my brother, sister, and caregiver would attend to give Dr. Henry an update on our mother's reaction to meds prescribed to help with confusion, combativeness and disorientation. Dr. Henry expertly communicated with our mother and our family. My mother could still strategically answer questions Dr. Henry posed. But because of Dr. Henry's astuteness, brilliance, and training she worked with our family... and mom could not dupe the good Dr. Henry. Mom got the right indications of meds that helped Mom's mental state and cognition. And after eleven years...our mother's condition has deteriorated some. But mom is still in the home, walking,… talking, knows who we are plus giving us a run for our money. She is the matriarch, still attends our annual family reunion, sits at the table and feeds herself...of course always under our loving supervision. (We never leave her alone) and talk with her daily. What a quack, so text book psychiatry. I guess she needed the money since she wanted to start when I was in my mother's womb!!!!
