 |  Epidural Issues  |  show details
Oct 14th, 2011

Dr. Feliciano was the anesthesilogist that was oncall at the time I was in labor and I was to receive my epidural. When he was called in he was over 30 minutes away from the hosptial. From the epidural I did get the spinal headaches. When Dr. Feliciano met with me he refused to believe or admit anything went wrong with the epidural. He denied this 3 different times, and one of those times I had to come into the ER room after going home and then becoming sicker from the spinal headaches. Once re-admitted to the hospital they made me get a MRI (totally unneccessary) and then I got a consultation from a different anesthesiologist, Dr. Benton. Dr. Benton was absolutly wonderful!!! He explained everything and then proceeded to do the blood patch to fix the epidural puncture. So Dr. Feliciano made me go through 3 days of extreme pain for the sake of his own pride. He was wrong and I did in fact need the blood patch. So if he is oncall during your visit, request someone else!!
