Dr. Barry Dewitt Baskin, MD

I found nothing Christ like about this man. He was only interested in the dictates of work comp. Even stated that this is what they want and what they're going to get. He had been in a recent MVA requiring surgery to his neck. Was extremely forgetful. I also found him arrogant and condescending. I expected a care provider who would help manage pain relief. He instead was only interested in removing meds treatment to "minimize" my claim for work comp even though causing an increase in my chronic pain and a decrease in my quality of and desire for life. If you have another option for a health care provider. I beg you to take it. If he ever was that good, then, he has passed his "good until date".

I felt like he thought I was lying about my pain until the MRI showed him I wasn't. He never addressed my pain seriously. just kept sending me to other Doctors most likely his friends. He is more concerned about his relationship with workers comp than his patients. He is.nice he is a Christian but not dedicated to his patients wellbeing at all. I have wasted my time dealing with him. I started to change drs months ago but because he was nice I gave him the benefit of doubt. Don't waste time with him for a work injury.

Dr Baskin's was unable to figure out my husband's problem so instead of sending him to someone else, he released him back to work. My husband's employer didn't want him back unless he was 100% so he lost his job.

Wow. I too can't believe anyone had a bad experience with this caring doctor who is also a strong Christian man. He is well respected by other doctors and especially by Work Comp. My WC caseworker said he is among the top doctors the agency respects. Anything he asked for has been approved no questions asked. His word truly is gold. As far as prescription of medication, he has gradually reduced the dosage of addictive narcotics by 75 percent. The only negative I would offer is wait time, but perhaps that's because he consistently spends half an hour to an hour with me each appointment. So this is not really a negative as I would gladly spend a few extra minutes waiting to know the attention I receive each visit. He has also done a couple of things for me that we're beyond the call of duty, and quite literally surprised me as I never had experienced anything similar from any other doctor.

I have known & appreciated Dr. Baskin for 15 years as he has helped me with post polio syndrome. He has helped me with all the problems of growing older. He is wonderful.

I can't believe anyone would say they didn't have a good experience with Dr. Baskin. He is such a strong Christian man and truly CARES. He has spent half an hour to 45 minutes with me before and is very respected by agencies such as Worker's Comp. In fact, Worker's Comp has given me anything I want as long as he says its necessary. My case worker once told me that his word is golden!

We were not impressed with Dr. Baskin's care. His recommendations seemed dated and he did not appear to be up to date on current medical treatments. The wait times were long to see him. He went back and forth on the severity of the condition. One visit he would save it was a severe problem; the next he would say it was not. He was more than willing to hand out pain medication, which is surprising considering the addiction problems some people have with these types of medicines. Double check or possibly triple check to see if there is another doctor that can see you. It really was a waste of time, energy, and money to see him. If you do choose him for your doctor, I hope you have a better experience.

Dr. Baskin is the best doctor I have ever had. He is a strong Christian in addition to being knowlegeable, honest, approachable, approachable and very caring. His staff is also professional, approachable, and friendly.
