I liked that he had the answers to all my questions right away, didn't hestate (I've seen many doctors) I had all my medical info, meds, mri, pt, injections etc-which makes a much clearer understanding for both. I felt he listened and was thorough. It was my first visit, so it was longer. We discussed some future treatment options and current. I went home happy
the pre-treatment exam was very complete. my nurse listened and answered all my questions. my treated area resulted in almost instant relief .since my visit my quality of near pain free life has been amazing. glad to have found this staff. will use this office in future.
Waited over an hour on more than one occasion. Witnessed Dr. Rings unprofessional behavior as he berated one of the office staff in front of patients and staff over a trivial matter. This would explain the high turnover rate of his office staff. When I finally was seen by the doctor, the examination was lame as if he was just going through the motions. It seems that writing prescriptions and keeping the patients coming back for more is the top priority.
Dr. Ring is absolutely the best doctor I've been to in years. He pays close attention to what my needs are, offers various treatment options, and overall makes the entire experience a perfect one. His staff at the Hobart location is friendly, knowledgeable, extremely professional, and willing to help in any way. I honestly feel that those of you that have issues with Dr. Ring's practice are disgruntled because he doesn't mess around when it comes to prescriptions. If you want a real, wonderful doctor, then I highly recommend Ring. If you're looking to score some prescription pills to abuse or sell, then this office is not for you!!
I've been seeing these wonderful doctors for several years, my experiences are always exceptional. He has always listened to me as the patient & talked over all issues that I have concerns for. I would highly recommend him he & his staff for all pain management needs
Makes u at least rate one star. Our commebts help his rating. Absolutely run, dr ring is educated and has a valid license but the most narcissistic, disrespectful man. Hobart quit supporting him, he plans to open an office and store front by menards 61st. It's mind boggling, he has attached on to enough clients to financially b supported by this community. He picks and chooses his clients,
Dr. Ring is a verbally abuser with his patients. His staff is a joke expecially is mng Lauren( who he is dating not Profesional at all) none are certified medical assistance they don't wear scrubs they wear hoodies to low cut tank tops and heavy makeup not considered professional. The computer system "inception" was down as a staff memeber said happens quiet often. Basically I would not recommend going inless you want to wait 3 hrs for the doctor to tell you about his personal life issues example: ex-wife. They also billed my insurance wrong so I had to deny the claim. This office needs a better system of staff. Also if your a doctor good hygiene is required for me .
Actually the worst office I have seen as far as. Cold and rude. They actually called to ask if I had my copay or if I wanted to cancel? That was my initial refferap appointment. The prescriptions were not obtainable had to send wife to 3 different pharmacists to get medicine. Waited in office 3 hrs first visit ridiculous.
This is the most cocky doctor i have ever had the displeasure to meet...he blew out my wifes vains after making her wait for over two hours both appoitments...run away from this doctor as fast as u can
It's hard to find a doctor who not only listens but spends time, truly cares, and is extremely educated & intelligent. I finally feel like I'm in good hands and that Dr Ring has my best interest. Dealing with serious spinal issues, rare disorders, and pain mgmt, it helps to have a doc who knows what he's talking about & truly wants to help & cares about each patients individual needs bc every-BODY is different. Something that is rarely recognized in the medical community these days from what I have encountered personally. I would absolutely recommend him to every family member or friend they needed to see a doc in this specialty!

Dr. Ring is the MOST unprofessional Doctor Ive ever met, he is running a circus, He lacks couth or tact, common decency, respect , listening skills, he is completely inappropriate as well as being a sexist, verbally abusive man child. Dr Ring keeps files, records, tablets, photos and new patient paperwork on every patient, has 8 to 10 Girls working for him at a time (as they never last very long) and and he and his staff go over the the same introductory questions every week. I have to give them the list of the medication THEY put me on Weekly, remind them why I am there and wait anywhere from 2 hours to 3 from the time I walk in to the time I leave but have time to hear about his off the clock escapades and feel uncomfortable while hearing about his ex wife, girlfriends ,staff and all the inappropriate language.
Dr. Barry Ring & Dr. Cassani are both excellent doctors that have taken VERY good care of me!!! I have nothing but great things to say about both of them! I've never before been to a doctor that has such excellent service from the girls that answer the phones and schedule appointments, to the girls behind the desk that take care of the paperwork, the nursing staff and the doctors! The wait time is WELL worth it ... just be sure to bring a book of something. I think they tend to run a bit behind because Dr. Ring takes the time to listen and discuss treatment options, he also takes the time to answer all questions! He has two offices in Chicago, so he's only at the Hobart office a limited days per week, I think that also contributes to being behind schedule. He even knows how to make me laugh when I'm a bit "testy" from my lack of patience! LOL The whole staff feels more like family!
Dr. Ring and his staff are awesome, Dr Ring makes you feel comfortable about your pain, and listens to every detail about you. I would recommend Dr. Ring to anyone, who needs the treatment you need.
During my time with Dr Ring my average appointment wait was more than an hour with my time with Dr lasting 5 mins. During appointments I was asked to try new drugs, most not having anything to do with my diagnosis. I was pressured into having procedures done while leaving each appointment as though I was not heard. After starting treatment with Dr Ring my symptoms became worse and since leaving my symptoms have become better with far less crippling headaches and pain. The "front office" in Hobart was inept and often gave the appearance of being run by teenagers who were not qualified. My overall opinion is that Dr Ring's clinic and practice is poorly run, more about a high turnover of patients, pushing medications while ignoring the patients needs. I am far better off without Dr Rings care than with it. When considering this health care provider, keep looking.
I have been with Doctor Ring for several years now. I would just like to say Thank You so much. Myself I have had to have some major surgeries in the past due to some serious illnesses. My body of course will never allow me to do what I was able to do before but thanks to Dr. Ring and his services I am able to continue to work and provide for my family. He is so intelligent and caring. I cannot say enough about his professional manner and his willingness to help me even when he is not compensated fully for his service by the insurance company and myself because I do not have the resources to cover what he and his staff do for me to enable me to do what I do. Dr. Ring and his staff go far above and beyond the call of duty. I wish I could do more for him and the ladies who work his office because they do so much for me and from my perspective many others who really need assistance with any form of pain control and/or physical mobile assistance.
I have been a patient for many years at the Hobart office. The staff and especially Dr. Ring has always engaged in full interest in my well being. I am very grateful to have such a caring physician.
DR.RING HAS BEEN A GOOD DOCTOR TO MEHE LISTENS TO ME AND HE DON'T PLAY AROUND.WHEN IT COMES TO MY HEALTH. IF YOU COME IN HIS OFFICE LOOKING FOR THEWRONG THINGS THAN YOU BETTER LOOK FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR BECAUSE HE WEED OUT THE BAD AND CONTINUE TO TREAT THOSES WHO REALLY NEED HELP.
I've been seeing dr. ring for my back pain. I have scoliosis and before I started seeing him, I just thought I had to deal with the pain. I was wrong. Dr. ring listens to my concerns and has done whats best for me. Hes very personable, hes actually a doctor that asks how you are otherwise and makes the visit comfortable. His staff is always friendly and they work well with your schedule. Overall, I highly recommend dr. ring!
I was referred to this man for my fibromyalgia pain. first off, the female who answered the phone when i made my appointment was quite rude and unprofessional. I was asked numerous odd questions and finally given an appointment, which to my disbelief was a month away. i never got a courtesy call, which is also somewhat odd. my appointment went really bad since i was scheduled early in the morning and wasnt seen until about lunchtime. the staff at his office were the worst, im sure they arent even licensed assistants as they were very indecent and seemed uneducated by the way they spoke. dr ring in the other hand is a bit more professional except the fact that he talked mostly jibberish during my visit. I have had my pain for half my life and he was cracking innapropriate jokes and i just felt that i was not being taken seriously. we argued over medication because he was stern in a single brand or two, plus a bunch of addictive pain medications, then he pushed me into seeing his chiropractor who coincidentally is in the same office, against my wishes. i left with the same pain, no ease and a sense of disbelief that this practice is still licenced. i truly do not recommend this doctor and for you people who speak highly of him, i'm sure you are relatives or saw him at an earlier time when he still cared about peoples pain....
FINALLY! I found a doctor that actually listens and was able to help me. Even though Dr. Ring's office was pretty busy, I got right in to see him and he spent a lot of time with me. He even went over all of my Xrays and medicines that other doctors gave me. His office really knows how to treat people. Theres another pain doctor who I heard very good things about too (dont remember his name, sorry :( I am doing so much better now and have been able to work almost pain free :) If you have pain, go see Dr Ring!
Dr. Ring was the first doctor to give me relief for my chronic headaches. I have been to five doctors over the last ten years and Dr. Ring was the only Dr to actually help me. It is so easy to get an appointment and he heals like magic.
I have been a patient of dr. ring's since a neck fusion performed 4 months ago. He didn't do the fusion. I have had severe pain on the right side of my neck. He has been a godsend. He is very thorough has a nice manner and explains what he plans to do and why. Patients must sign a contract so if you looking for pain meds and don't need them look elsewhere.
Dr. Ring is an excellent doctor. He presents himself in a kind and friendly mannor. His office is clean and staff professional. I'm very happy with the results of my treatment.
THE STAFF AT HIS FULLERTON LOCATION IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL, BIG ATTITUDE PROBLEM. ONE DOCTOR (THE CHIROPRACTOR)TRIED HITTING ON MY DAUGHTER WHILE THE "PAIN SPECIALIST" ACCUSED ME OF LYING OF MY PAIN. THIS CLINIC SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY, AND THAT IS NOT AN OVERREACTION. DR RING IS NOTHING BUT A SCAMMING, LYING, MONEY HUNGRY, UNPROFESSIONAL MAN TRYING TO MAKE THE MOST OF PEOPLES PPO INSURANCES BY ONLY PRESCRIBING HIS CHOICE OF NAME BRAND MEDICATIONS AND NOT LISTENING TO YOUR NEEDS. AGAIN, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR, OR ANY OF HIS CLINICS AT ALL.
I've been going to Dr. Ring for a year, and he has given me great care. Due to my medical history and allergies, normal treatment paths cannot be used. He has accommodated my needs very well, and followed a very conservative pain-management regimen. Also, Dr. Cunningham (at Lakeview office) is a MIRACLE WORKER.
Dr. Barry Ring is by far the best doctor I've been to for my condition. Dr. Ring made me feel very comfortable and explained everything to me that I had questions on in an extremely professional manner. In the past I've visited to a couple doctors regarding my specific condition and the other doctors weren't near as detailed oriented as Dr. Ring. He's a relaxed person and extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of his expertise. I'm a younger to middle aged individual and usually when I go to see the doctor they talk at me and not to me. Coming from a medical background I feel that I have more knowledge than the average person when it comes to medicine and certain types of conditions. I hate when I go to the doctor and they don't take the time to listen to the patient and jump the gun and draw a quick conclusion based on your initial diagnosis. Dr. Ring gave me options and told me different avenues to go down to treat my condition. I'm not trying to put him on a pedestal, but I was THAT impressed by my visit with him. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ring to anyone who has a condition that he can help with. He has been extremely helpful with my condition and it's a pleasure meeting with him. I'm looking forward to my next appointment with him and his office staff.
I have been going to dr. ring now for almost 2yrs, he is kind, caring and takes the time with you to discuss your problem and your needs. I can honestly say I would definately say I would Highly recommend him to family or friends for care. keep up the good work dr. ring!!!!
If you have a co-pay or are a cash (no insurance patient), he only takes cash--no checks or credit/debit cards. He does not have any credentials posted in his office. You must have an appointment for an office visit in order to receive a prescription refill. I would say he is a dispensor of drugs and pushes injections. If you need a "real" doctor that considers your condition and not just a bandage to cover the problem, he is not the doctor for you.
