We would NEVER recommend Dr. Beverly Lewis to ANYONE. We will say this- the first visit, even though we had to wait for over an hour, was great. She seemed to know what she was talking about & we THOUGHT the experience was going to be a good one. The surgery went well, but she left the hospital right after she was finished operating, and never came back to speak with us or give us instructions. We WERE scheduled to come back in a week but she canceled it and told us to come back the week after. When she finally saw us, she only gave my husband a weeks worth of pain medication for 2 weeks. He had a follow up appointment today, which they called to cancel 2 hours before we were supposed to be there. They also informed us that the doctor would NOT be refilling his pain medication today like she told him she would & the office manager informed me that he could go "cold turkey" off the vicodin (after taking it for a month and a half) & be fine. How can these people not know what can- &… will- happen to a person that does that?? SO NOT ONLY DOES HE HAVE A 2 INCH HOLE ABOVE HIS TAILBONE THAT I'M PACKING WITH GAUZE 3 TIMES A DAY (WITH NO PAIN MEDICATION), HE WILL ALSO BE HAVING WITHDRAW SYMPTOMS. She canceled ALL of our appointments & treated my husband like a drug addict. This was a horrible experience for our whole family.
