Dr. Brian Barash, MD

Dr. Barash is always there when I need him. He works tirelessly and has such enthusiasm for his work and his patients. My son is going to medical school and wants to be a psychiatrist. When he started seeing Dr. Barash, he could barely make passing grades in high school. He is now attending college on a full scholarship and beaming with pride and lazer focus. Thanks Dr. B!

Brilliant doc. I trust him with my life.

I have worked at a facility that Brian Barash was a psychiatrist at and having worked at similar facilities, I can say that he is one of the most unprofessional physicians I have worked with. Among many negative experiences, one that sticks out the most was when I brought a client in (who was admitted for suicide), they just prior had a terrible meeting with their family who berated them and brought them to tears. In short, they were having a depressive meltdown when Dr. Barash was scheduled to see them. Upon seeing them bawling and barely able to breathe from sobs, he said that if they were not going to talk with him that they were wasting his him and he wouldn't bother looking at their medication that day. They were so much worse having spent 2 minutes with him. This kind of interaction was typical for Dr. Barash.

Our family has been very well taken care of by the entire staff of CPA. They have always shown their joy in having us come for our appointments and by helping us schedule new appointments. Dr. Barash has been a God-send with his extensive knowledge of medications and his expertise with serious psychiatric conditions. When no one else could balance the right medications or treatment Dr. Barash was able to. He has been very compassionate and straight forward. He respects a patient by letting them help decide what treatments to follow.

We have met with Dr. Barash a couple times and he is rude and impatient. My daughter is there for depression/anxiety and he had the gall to say to her, "if you won't answer my questions then you might as well leave, I don't have time for this." The office staff are kind but that's where it ends. We also have seen the Nurse Practitioner here and her temperament wasn't any better. Stay away from this office.

I was so disappointed in the practice of Dr Barash. He is uncaring and will only spend a matter of minutes with you. He books so many patients at one time it is impossible to maintain a respectable level of care. We had a serious side effect from a medication he prescribed and couldn't get a call back for two days, ended up in the emergency room because of his lack of medical treatment and basic human compassion, couldn't even return a phone call.

Dr Barash was nice, professional and we finally feel we have someone we can work with. He went above and beyond coordinating care for our son. He spoke with our school and pediatrician to make sure we were all on the same page. He is very conservative with Meds which some may not like but I found comfort in this approach. His office staff remembered me by name after only one visit which was comforting, given how busy their office is!

I dislike him a lot. Wouldn't recommend!
