Dr. Brooks Rogers, MD

We absolutely love Dr. Rogers and her staff. They have taken EXCELLENT care of my daughters and are incredibly friendly and caring. They have gone above and beyond when taking care of my girls. I honestly can't say enough about how much I appreciate them. We were seeing a different physician here in Lubbock and transferred the care of my older daughter to Dr. Rogers (before my second was born) and I am so glad we did. I honestly didn't know that there would be that much difference in pediatricians, but we have fallen in love with her. She takes lots of time with the girls and, as mentioned in another review, she lets them participate in the exam and always checks our baby dolls first -earning their trust and my respect. My oldest is always "taking my baby to the doctor" because she loves the girls there so much. We never feel rushed. I also appreciate so much never being "spoken down" to by Dr. Rogers or her staff. If I have a concern, it is a concern for them. I am so… grateful that they care enough to listen and investigate. From the routine to the obscure (and boy, have we had obscure), she has always taken excellent care of my girls. As a mommy, you can't ask for more than that!

Before moving to Lubbock I called and got my children set up to be patients of Dr. Rogers. The nurse approved my request (after speaking to the doctor) to be a new patient after asking basic questions about my childrens health. Then, once I had moved to Lubbock and needed a post-hospitalization follow up for my child I received a phone call on THE DAY of our appt. stating the doctor was not accepting new patients. I explained I had been approved and accepted as a new patient and scheduled already. They initially tried to pretend I had never been approved but I had dates, times, and names of who I had spoken to. Then, they changed their tune to sorry our mistake but we still won't see you. It was highly unprofessional to cancel a post-hospital follow up the day of the appt and it was highly unethical to abandon a sick child after previously accepting them. This physician and her staff do not put the child first nor do they care about the ramifications of their decisions when it comes to… a sick child. I would not recommend anyone entrust their child to an office that can not even remember accepting a patient when their were multiple phonecalls, hospital notes sent via fax directly from the hospital, or an appoinment confirmation completed by thier own office staff. And most certainly do not entrust your sick child to a physician who knows that the child was recently ill enough to spend two days in the hospital but does not care enough to follow through with their commitment to provide post discharge care to your child.

Dr. Rogers has been seeing both of my children for almost 5 years now (she delivered my son) and they love her. They are excited to go see her because she interacts well with them. She lets them help with the examination process so that they aren't as scared. She also has 2 excellent nurses!
