8:45 am appointment, doctor showed up at 9:45 am spent 5 minutes rushed the visit. When I called back and asked for a direct call from the doctor the nurse returned the call. She was very nice but I wanted to speak to him. All future calls are returned by the nurse. He has as much time for phone conversations as he does for visits.

I met with Dr. Bastos for the first time yesterday. Rather than the usual stressful situation which these first meetings with a doctor usually feel like, I was greatly impressed by Dr. Bastos level of caring, knowledge and personal warmth. I left the meeting cheerful and full of hope, based on realistic expectations.

We always have to wait more than an hour and spend less than 5 minutes. He is not approachable, there's no way to talk to him directly. We have to send message to him thru email or with his assistant. It seems that he is a good Dr but the way he manage the relationship patient-Dr is very weak. Having an illness like Cancer you need to have more closer relationship with your Dr, thinking that he will help you. In our case, we think that we have to control everything and ask everything.. You have to be too much proactive because he just reacts. He needs to develop a better relationship with his patients. This has been our experience so far
