Dr D'Agastino is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. He acts like he is glad to see you and has a strong interest in you and your particular issues. His beside manners are exceptional in my view. As a retired health care professional myself, I highly recommend him.
I have seen this doctor before in the past; some years back. This most recent visit I saw the doctor all of maybe 10 minutes and he wrote me a prescription for 2 medications; one for pain and the other an anti-inflammatory; which I ended up not being able to use due to adverse side effects. I called the number on the doctor's card and left a message for his assistant; Kelly and was told if I had a problem with the prescriptions to call and leave a detailed message; which I did. Five days later (holiday weekend) Kelly called back and she did not leave a detailed message; only that she called in my medication (what medication?) at the pharmacy that I gave them. I ended up calling the office number at least 5 times and I was transferred to voice mail at least 3 times and ended up having to call back and the office staff was not happy with my calling as many times as I had to! I finally got a hold of Kelly and she told me that she would be more than glad to transfer my medical records to another pain management doctors office if I didn't like how they operated; when all I was doing was trying to inquire about getting some pain medication that would work for me; which to this day I still don't have!. Its really sad when a person cannot get the care they are in need of!
I really like the Dr. but his staff is rude & the never return calls to me or pharmacy. He has always gave me a script for my pain meds for my lower back but the last time he said have pharmacy call when you are out because I still had medicine. well pharmacy called & faxed the office staff but they have never heard anything back yet. In the mean time I ran out of medicine & went into withdrawals . I have never experience this & had to go to ER to get enough till Monday! I'm really upset! never thought I would experience withdrawals! So Tomorrow Monday I am going to the office to talk to the Dr. I am pretty sure he doesn't realize I ran out & his staff could care less!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im not an addict . I take pain medicine for my lower back pain.
Think about things like... What was most memorable? What did you like or dislike? What would you tell a friend? Would you choose this doctor again?
I paid $390out if pocket to be treated like crap. I had a few questions about my medication because it wasn't working and they just send me to an answering machine. I have been waiting for 2 weeks to hear back from his nurse and i have left several messages. Very dissapointing to be treated so badly and I still have no relief from my pain! I would not recommend him to anyone!
I saw Dr. D' Agostino for injections in my back for a herniated disk in april of 2001 ( had a series of three). Every time he was great. It's hard to believe the reviews. I have family members that are currently seeing him & they have no problems with this dr. I need to see him now but no one answers the phone. If I get in I will post again.
The office staff are very rude and rarely return phone calls.
Office staff doesnt care about people. The Dr doesnt listen to anything you have to say and they refuse to be of any actual service...find another dr.
Came to this Dr. after my original pain management Dr. closed practice. First appt. with this guy, he changed the meds. I've been on (that were helping nicely) and put me on a lower dosage of an inferior med. - this does NOTHING for my pain. 2nd visit - switched meds. AGAIN for an equally inferior med, same dosage. He doesn't listen, he spends 5-minutes with you if you're lucky, his waiting room is always PACKED with people, and the wait for your SCHEDULED appt. is outrageous! If I had a choice, it wouldn't be him! Does this doctor follow "Do no harm"? Not in my opinion.
I went to see Dr. D'Agostino with no faith in getting any relief from the pain in my lower back. He was great always a smile on his face and not once rude there or when getting injection in my back talked to me the entire time explaining what he was doing.. I FEEL GREAT!! I can play on the floor with my baby now and sleep all night and no pain I could not believe it he is a great doctor and the other reviews are so wrong with this guy... I Thank him so very much for all he did for me
He doesn't listen, and each time you come in for an appointment he acts like its the first time hes ever seen you. The meds he prescribes me don't help my pain well, for four months I've been telling him...he acts like I'm not even speaking while I'm with him anyway. I'm out, we have choices now and I choose to leave.
I think Dr Agostino has been an excellent care provider for me! He is always interested in my well being and I am very thankful for his services!
he ignored the records from my previous doctors and now he just keeps getting me in his office repeatedly..different meds that dont work or make me sick..i even told him.tramadol makes me very sick.he STILL prescribed it.he asks me questions and every time i answer him he totally ignores what i say to him.
This Dr., if you can call him that, has done nothing to help me, only hurt me. Each time I go in he does the opposite of what I am there for. I heard him say to his nurse that he could stop practicing anytime because he has so much money already, but he said, and this is a quote, "Why shouldn't I keep on piling the money higher and higher." That is disgusting! He is a creep. I have a reoccurring infection in my back near my spinal cord because this jerk tried saving a little money and used old connector wires with a new stimulator placed in my hip that came loose more than once. I still have staples in my back because he says he doesn't have time to take them out, says he will call me and let me know when it is time! I have had to go to the emergency room twice to have this place lanced to release the puss that has built up because it keeps getting infected and he will not even prescribe me antibiotics to keep it from reinfecting.
Although he may mean good, he seems to be caught up in the world of seeing as many patients as he can to make as much money as he can. Furthermore, he only offered me epidural shots even when I told them they had not helped in the past. He indicated that's all he does now. Lastly, I discovered that he actually is not board certified by the "real anesthesia board certification process" as he failed this test. So he did one of those fly by night board certification boards to say in his ads that he is "Board Certified". Don't be fooled - he is not as smart as he thinks he is.
