Dr. Gabel is a wonderful OB-GYN. I would like to mention that when she was at Hillcroft Med. Ctr. the wait time was longer (15-20min). Now that she has Piney Point Women's Center the wait time is so much shorter! : ) I am very comfortable with her and she's been my doctor for five years. She is sweet, smart, listens to me and provides answers to all my questions. Thank you Dr. Gabel!
Our experience with her was not good. You need to ask questions to get something out of her and she hardly spends few minutes. She scheduled/induced our baby one week before the due date for no major reason. we had no choice but to go for the delivery. we will not go back.
She has been my ob/gyn for 11 years, and she is GREAT . She delivered all 3 of my kids by c-section due to complications with every pregnancy, and I trust her completely. She is a very caring doctor, and has a wonderful bedside manner. I have to drive quite a distance now to see her, but I do so because I can't imagine going to anyone else. Highly recommend her!!!
Dr. Gabel has been my Ob/Gyn for almost 13 years. I have gone thru alot having 4 miscarriages and 4 beautiful kids and she has been so caring through the whole process. She would call me to see how I was doing. I remember when I gave birth to my daughter she was running late and Dr. Cook was in there with me until she showed up and she sat next to me and held my hand and reassured me. It was great to have her support along with my husband.
I have been a patient of Dr Gabel for over 12 years. She is a wonderful caring person that always explains in detail the answer to my questions.
During my 2nd pregnancy I was hospitalized and did not get a visit or call from Dr. Gabel....instructions were given out to nurses and doctors on staff (and she was in town at the time). She delivered my first daughter, but didn't quite make it for the delivery of my second child which was a scheduled induced labor. It wasn't a flash labor. There was plenty of time and she was informed of the progress and yet, my daughter was delivered by the doctor on staff. One of the nurses at the hospital made a remark about Gabel that apparently this happens alot. Unaceptable!I thought. She had been my doctor for 8 yrs , but after this experience, I decided to go with another. Also, the waiting time for a visit kept increasing over the years and availability decreasing.
If you want to wait a long time in the waiting area and about 2 minutes with the doctor..she is for you. She only cares about making the big bucks. She told me she would send me info about a mammogram...she didn't. I wanted info on IUD's...never got it. Told her I had problems with pms and dryness...she said "use more lube". She seems like she is on crack...no attention span. The receptionist is really rude too. I only keep her as my obgyn because I am too lazy to get a new on...but now that I am getting older, I need to get rid of this quack
Dr. Gabel always takes the time to explain my diagnosis or answer all my questions. She took her time and I never felt rushed during my appointment. I don't mind the sometimes longer wait time because I know she is taking her time with another patient.
