Dr. Catherine Jonnakuty Ellis, MD

I have seen Doctor Ellis for a little over a year now, and still feel horrible. I see her every three months for blood work and a quick 10-minute telehealth appointment. Her front desk staff are terrible! they are rude and unprofessional. They seem to sugar coat things for the doctor to cover themselves. Getting an appointment with them is terrible and they will try to get you in with the NP which in that case id go to my regular doctor.

Dr. Ellis is a very compassionate provider who takes the time to understand my concerns and desires for my treatment. The staff is very friendly and attentive. As a new patient, the intake process was very easy and thorough. I would highly recommend Dr. Ellis.

I am so glad Dr. Ellis chose the Leesburg/Stone Springs area in which to open her solo practice. My first appointment with her was excellent! Dr. Ellis's kindness and thoroughness were outstanding, and she provided information I wish I'd had long ago. Her Leesburg office was attractive and pleasant to visit, and her staff could not have been nicer or more helpful! I feel really lucky to have heard about her from my primary care office.

I have been a patient with Dr. Ellis for several years. She has always taken her time and listened to my concerns. Over the years she has seen me through ups and downs with endocrinology issues. As I sought multiple opinions at the start of my issues, all of her diagnosis and treatments were on par with other physicians in several fields that I consulted with. Her ability to connect with me as a patient and her capabilities as a doctor gave me confidence in her as a doctor.

Dr. Ellis was on time for the initial visit. However, her physician manner in not washing her hands after leaving and returning to the office was upsetting. Adding to it was the use of the item used to test the nerves in my feet that was put back into the drawer instead of throwing it away. I am certain that item though very small and plastic is not that expensive and I've had other exams of this nature and never had a physician put it back in the drawer for use again.

Efficient, intelligent, listens to her patient(s)

Seems to see patients as conduits for excess testing and fees. Does not appear to listen or even follow-through with what she said in the past. Unless you like paying for tests you've already had and showed normal, I'd look elsewhere.

Professional, thorough, great teaching, supportive

I was unable to see Dr. Jonnakuty for over a year now because of changes in her schedule and mine. I'm so glad I was finally able to see her again. She is kind and patient and spent a lot of time with me going over my sugars and making changes to my insulin schedule which had become very overwhelming. I'm very happy to seeing her again!

I have spent the last few years looking for an endocrinologist. I knew when I met Dr Jonnakuty I finally found the right doctor for me. She was so compassionate and really took the time to listen to my symptoms. Because of how thorough and knowledgeable she is, I was finally given the right diagnosis & since have been treated appropriately. I feel great!! Thank you Dr Jonnakuty!
