Don't waste your money. Very snobbish,, would not even look at what was going in for. When asking questions, he was very dismissive

With barely a glance at my chart and a cursory physical exam, he pronounced that probably I was fatigued because I didn’t realize I was snoring at night (which I don’t). Immediately switched doctors.

Dr. Velazquez is possibly the worst Doctor I have ever been to. He does not see the patient as a human being, but as a set of lab results. He had no interest in my symptoms, history or concerns. His default diagnosis seems to be "depression" when lab work does not show a clear path. I will not see this person again and I would urge anyone needing a Rheumatologist to keep looking.

Excellent knowledge, caring and superb kindness. Doesn't waste time chasing "zebras", neither useless diagnostic studies. Would refer him to any of my family members who might need a rheumatologists.

Dr. Velazquez was a waste of time and money. He refused to review the MRI and reports I had already completed. But he made me take my pants off. Then glanced at my knees and told me I didn't have arthritis. This "diagnosis" contradicting three other doctors' opinions. He was rude and unprofessional but still billed my insurance.

Dr. V. is awesome! He always takes extra time to concentrate on my case. He thinks about every decision he makes and always follows up with a phone call. He responses to my messages quickly and is fabulous!! I wouldn't want any other Rheumy!

I stopped seeing Dr. Velazquez because he was rude, uneducated about my illness, uncaring, and has a horrible bedside manner. I really don't have anything nice to say about this doctor.

I loved seeing Dr. V for my RA. I wish I could take him to Oklahoma with me so I don't have to try to find a new doctor, who I know is not going to even compare to Dr. V. I will miss you.

He is a good listener and good with giving out the medication options. The meds style can sometimes be old school, but he likes to be less aggresive to begin with. Spends good time and available on the phone. His office always followup after bloodwork to say how it was and mails any prescriptions if necessary.

Dr Velazquez, MD is a caring, well read and efficient physician. He is a a straight shooter which is important to me in terms of trusting a physician and getting imformation quickly and directly. If he does not have an answer he readily admits it, and looks it up on the spot. He takes an interest in knowing about patients daily lives, not just their symptoms and has an incredible memory for detail. I would recommend anyone to him and his nurse Tammy.
