Dr. Charles Jonathan Pruchno, MD

Began seeing Dr Pruchno at age of 23 he stayed my provider through two healthy pregnancies and for several years to come. After 19 years as my provider I have healthy habits as a type 1 diabetic of 36 years and no complications. He is Fabulous and cares about his patients.

I was referred to Dr. Pruchno from a friend. I was looking for a new primary care provider. I did not know about his diet plan at that time. Since I started going to him, I am down 60 lbs! He never once made feel like just a number nor has he ever rushed in and out of the exam room. He tells it like it is and doesn't rush to refer you to another specialist or have you have test after test.

I met Dr. Pruchno through his low-carb weight loss program Health Transitions Clinic. Because of the meds I was on and certain medical conditions, I thought a physician-supervised diet program would be a good idea. I was very happy with the program and ended up sticking with Dr. Pruchno as my regular doctor. I've found him to be knowledgable and willing to explain things to me if I have questions. The staff is also very friendly. My cardiologist and neurologist are also happy with the advice and treatment I've gotten from Dr. Pruchno.

You would think doctor professional what care about his patient but after a while he doesn't he over-medicated his patients Iowa City University of Iowa Hospital says that the reason my mom was in the hospital because she was over-medicated by dr. PRUCHNO do you think he cared know they lured her medication and he boosted right back up and got her sick again tell me what kind of doctor that does that so he's been very very mean and very disrespectful of me he tries to stop me from coming to my Mom's appointment with her all because he knows he's doing wrong by giving her wrong things that she doesn't need and not solving the issues she's been having so many infections and even when I was with him I was having so many infections through my body that he could even solve the problem but now that I have a new doctor she solved the problem that he couldn't solved so tell me what do you think? I think he's racial between black people I think you really don't care about black people I think… you just there to over medicate them

This doctor has no reservoir of knowledge, and could not answer questions on medical testing. He also has a bad bedside manner, and if you're female, he tends to stare at body parts. An icky experience I wouldn't wish on anyone.
