I should've known by how unkempt the waiting room was and by how unfriendly the desk staff was that our experience was going to be all but great. After leaving the waiting room and proceeding to the triage room and exam room, the cleanliness got even worse! Splatter all over every wall, trash-dirt-EVEN bitten off finger nails!!! were inside the exam room on the floor. The desk was cluttered and unkempt and I felt very disgusted and dirty just sitting in there! The provider came in and didn't even make eye contact, didn't verify my son's information to ensure he was in the correct room, didn't shake either of our hands or introduce himself. Just walked in abruptly and sat down and started typing on the laptop. After he typed for a bit he finally asked, "why are you here?" Then as I proceeded to TRY to answer that question, he interrupted me with another question. It was question after question, most of which had no relevance to the reason for our appointment, and each time I'd try to… respond he would interrupt with the next question and would immediately type stuff. He examined my son all of 10 seconds and then sat back down and continued typing away. He asked if my son wanted a pill to swallow or dissolve, without even explaining what the pill was or what it was for, and when I proceeded to ask my son which he would prefer, since he is old enough to decide that on his own, the provider snapped around- making eye contact for the first time- and stated "We are letting a10 year old decide what he wants- next thing we know you're going to be letting him decide on what house and car to buy for you." I literally had no response to this man. Complete and utter disrespect and disregard to us as human beings. He should NOT be working with people at all! Very unprofessional and rude and should not have a license to care for others. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK AND WILL BE PUTTING IN A COMPLAINT TO OUR INSURANCE IN REGARDS TO HIS PRACTICE. No one else should have to endure the disrespect and disgust that we had to endure for the 1 hour appointment we had with him.

My daughter was seen by this doctor because she was experiencing neurological issues that resulted from CMV diagnosed when she was born based on symptoms and lab testing. Although the staff was polite, Dr. Ugokwe was very rude and had extremely poor bedside manner. He made no eye contact whatsoever and spoke to us like we were inferior to him. He kept his head down and typed on computer during the whole visit with the exception of minimal neurologic exam performed witch consisted of asking my daughter few questions. Argued that fact that she had CMV although all other tests performed as a newborn and pediatrician confirmed diagnosis. She had EEG performed during office visit in some room that looked like a storage closest and room was so hot it felt like a sauna. The he complained that the EEG wasn't definitive because she didn't fall asleep. We left with a $35 co-pay and no additional knowledge regarding neurological issues other than his arrogant insistence that my daughter never had… CMV. Waste of time and money! I am very disappointed in this doctor, I can see now why waiting room was empty and obtaining an timely appointment was so easy...his patient clientele must be very minimal. I advise seeking another neurologist somewhere else even if you have to travel a long distance.

Horrible bedside manner. Barely performed any sort of evaluation. Rude. Had to drive 3.5 hrs to see him, and is probably one of the rudest medical professionals I have EVER seen. he should really look at all his ratings, they are all bad.

Poor desk staff!! Front desk woman whom i believed is named Keisha, was a mean and angry attitude. She needs to be fired to get a better review!! The doctor and other staff is good to great!

All staff seemed as though it was there first job. Errors in schedules, paperwork, billing, etc. Staff very short and rude, especially his nurse. Only Neuro in Alexandria leaves people with no choice.

Should have listened to my gut instinct from day one with the receptionist. This receptionist and staff were very rude and short with me and my 5 year old. The doctor never addressed us as patients, asked a few questions and examined my child so fast he couldn't have gotten any information toward a diagnosis. He never looked him in the eye except when he examined his eyes. He never called me or my child by name and was very sharp with his commands. He kept looking at his computer and took no note of my reactions to his treatment. I would never subject anyone to this kind of treatment. Please do not visit this doctor!

He is a great Dr.

The man is rude and arrogant and seems ill qualified in his field. He was unable to diagnose my problem which another doctor was able to do in ten minutes. I think this guy doesn't like white people. I wouldn't go to him for first aid.

Tells it like it is, but really caring and has a great sense of humor.

My 13 month old was having some problems so we scheduled an appointment with Dr. Ugokwe. As a new patient we had paper work to fill out so the wait was expected and well worth it. When we were called back to a room the nurse was friendly and helpful. Dr. Ugokwe came in and said hello and asked what type of problems we were having, he asked lot's of questions and answered mine. He was nice and caring, he laughed and smiled several times while he was in the room with us. My son reached out to him and he took him and talked to him. That was a huge comfort to me to have a Dr. take a minute to hold my baby. I tell everyone about him and highly recommend him to any and all
