Dr. Christine R Keegan, MD

She is an excellent PCP.

I have been seeing Dr. Keegan for over ten years, and she was the one who finally understood why a particular test was wrong, and got me started on a good treatment protocol. I find her thorough, her questions are intelligent, she makes good suggestions about care, and answers my questions thoroughly.

I have been her patient for a number of years...and this past week I truly realized how lucky I am that she is my PC. She and her fabulous assistant Jen were beyond supportive as I received news about a concern on a mammogram and subsequent 6 day wait for additional testing. This is what a good doctor-patient relationship is all about: trust, communication, support, and sharing plan of action as needs dictate. Dr. Keegan is a treasure! (Couldn't wait to tell her my good news!)

Dr Keegan is a kind, thoughtful and insightful physician. I've found her to be thorough and astute. She picked up on my celiac disease before I even had symptoms! She is friendly, always interested in my life outside of medical visits and has a great sense of humor.

I have had Dr. Keegan as my GP for about 9 years now, and my experience with her has been one of the best I have ever had with a physician. When I first came to her, I was switching my doctors because my prior GP (along with a consulting neurologist and 2 other doctors) had failed to diagnose a brain tumor that had been symptomatic for 3 years. Needless to say, my trust in the medical profession was not high. Dr. Keegan (along with the staff at Dana-Farber) has helped restore that trust. She is everything one could ask for in a doctor -- caring and thoughtful, knowledgeable, outstanding in diagnosing problems (and then sending me for follow-up tests just to be SURE her diagnosis was correct). I have sent all my family and friends to her. If you do not like her style, by all means, find another doctor, though I personally do not think you will find one more caring or better qualified than Dr. Keegan.

Christine Keegan provided me with the worst experiences I've ever had with a physician in my life. Once I told her I was a smoker, she refused to consider any other reasons for my constant (over three months) cold symptoms besides smoking. She told me that I probably was having symptoms of lung cancer (at 25 yo I knew this was possible, but not likely OR helpful). But she refused to run any tests after saying this. Looking back, I realized I was sick all of the time because I was working over 90 hrs/week, and part of this time in a medical clinic. I was not eating and I was losing weight, and Christine Keegan never asked me about anything like this once I'd told her I was a smoker. On top of all of this, I was exposed to pertussis (whooping cough) at my day job and needed blood test results ASAP, as I was also a bartender at night and pertussis is extremely contagious. She wouldn't return my call for three weeks. She is horrible and NOT thorough and NOT caring at all. Do yourself a… huge favor and AVOID HER!

I love Dr Keegan. She's not only very smart and thorough, but also kind and has a great sense of humor. I trust her opinion 100% since she diagnosed my pituitary tumor 8 years ago. I've referrred several of my colleagues to her and they are highly impressed with her competence also.

I have been going to Dr. Keegan for twelve years. She is a wonderful primary care physician. Not only is she a good doctor as far as medical issues, but she is thoughtful, insightful, has excellent follow-up with any problems I've ever had. I have total confidence in her and it helps to know that if I need a doctor, I can call and get an appointment with her. I would highly recommend her.

I met with the doctor for the first time yesterday and I was very pleased.As a nurse I have dealt with many doctors and I found Dr Keegan to be attentive and thorough. I did not feel any more rushed then at any doctor's office since time constraints are always in place. In an ideal world a patient could spend as much time as they want with a doctor but the next patient is always waiting.FYI.. If you have concerns about a doctor not spending enough time with you then book the last appt of the day. You might have better luck at that time.But I came prepared for my appt...a written history of my health and my meds. In other words I was prepared to help Dr Keegan with her exam so we didn't have to go over a lot of info and could discuss only the pertinent things. I enjoyed our easy conversation and also enjoyed her medical asst Jenn.Overall? A very nice experience.
