After going here for 13 YEARS, after many attempts to clarify a surprise added fee ($80) for a simple annual check-up for our daughter, we finally gave up and paid what we had for our other kids' visits. But his office persisted on the add'l $80, sent it to collections & put it on our credit report. We're paying the $80, but the deceptive practice should be known. Houts office became impersonal, bureaucratic, & short-term focused. If you go, make it quick and don't ask any Qs or you'll pay extra. Relationships and loyalty do not appear to matter to these business doctors now.

Dr. Houts and the staff and physicians at Powell Pediatric Care are wonderful. They have helped our family navigate the healthcare questions and concerns that come along with all the stages from newborn to elementary-aged children with grace, patience, and understanding. They practice evidence-based medicine and follow the most up to date standards to help us make informed decisions about the care of our children. We have been with this practice for eight years and cannot imagine getting our care anywhere else. Beyond outstanding clinical care, the office is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the accounting and billing practices are seamless. We never have to worry about a thing. Would highly recommend this practice.

This group has a horrible front office. Do not let them fool you with their mission statement. We have waited for over an hour on two separate visits (both with a scheduled appointment). One time was due to an error in the front office. They "crossed us off" their list but never brought us back. The second time was inexcusable. The worst part - they are not nice people. We then had to return to their office on three separate visits to get a copy of our daughter's records. Each time, there was an excuse why we could not take the copy with us. They made us wait for over an hour on two of these trips, too. Unreal. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid this office . . . unless you have a lot of time on your hands to wait, tons of patience to entertain your children for long periods of time in small rooms, and little/no desire to be treated with respect.
