Dr. Christopher Patrick Hummel, DO

I have a chronic debilitating form of IBS, and spent 3 years in pain suffering from severe pain. I went to doctors and pain specialists at Norwood Hospital, BMC, Mass General, St. Ann's Hospital, Providence, RI, Sturdy Hospital, and more. I tried acupuncture. None helped me. I went for pain management classes, read books, they assigned, and even sent to a Hospital in London, GB for a self hypnosis program they had developed. The pain continued on. It forced me to retire 2 years before reaching full retirement benefits, and caused me to miss my own brother's funeral! I prayed to die. Then, my GI specialist asked me if I’d try Dr. Hummel. I did. His first question was why had I been to so many doctors. And I told him about my search for help He tried some medical procedures that he thought might work, but they didn’t, unfortunately. But, he finally got me to a point where I spend many hours of most days free of pain. The pain still comes back, but much less than… before. And, I finally can do some things I thought I’d never be able to do again, like walking my dog, and going out with friends. For me, Dr. Hummel is a gift from God.

Yes sometimes there was a wait...but Dr Hummel spends the time with each patient as needed.

Dr Hummel is very thorough and talks about options and is very good with answering questions and putting your concerns to rest. Office staff is awesome

This doctor is one of the few that I have encountered who takes his time, listens and takes action asap. He's been very helpful and compassionate.

Most rudest dr I have ever meet in my life

I have only seen him twice and for short visits nut he made a positive impression on both occassions. I saw him out of the pain clinic in Norwood Hospital Rama Center. The staff there is nice especially the nurse practioner.
