Dr. Christopher John Pollina, MD

I saw Dr. Pollina in the ER at Moses Cone last week, and he seriously misdiagnosed my issue. I will never go to this doctor again. I had to go to another doctor, who then figured out the issue. If I would have listened to Dr. Pollina, there is no telling where I would be right now. He needs to listen to the issues of his patients and educate himself a lot more if he wants to keep being a physician.

"That's not really what we do here", was his response to my request for a Lyme disease test and two other concerns. He spent all of two minutes in the ER actually talking to me, before making his diagnosis. Apathetic, a lack of listening, and diligence was my impression leaving the ER. Looking over my discharge notes he never addressed three of the specific concerns I presented myself to the emergency department for in the first place. I wonder what percentage of patients seen by him present to the ER over again.

Dr. Pollina was my attending provider on a recent visit to the ER at Moses Cone Hospital after a head injury. Having already visited Urgent Care and my ophthalmologist in relation to the same injury, I was grateful to finally encounter Dr. Pollina, who quickly and efficiently assessed my injury and ordered the necessary imaging to reach an accurate diagnosis and establish a treatment plan. He did so all in a pleasant, caring, and professional manner, taking time to sit and discuss his findings--as well as answer my questions--in an unrushed and conversational fashion, despite the busyness of the Emergency Department. I appreciated Dr. Pollina's thorough, thoughtful manner and felt fortunate to have been under his care.

This "Dr." treated me like garbage in the ER. He had the wrong chart and was calling me a liar when I answered his questions. He has no bedside manner. He didn't introduce himself, just walked into the room and said "What's wrong with you?" He also repeatedly called my mother a liar. I am not paying that hospital bill.
