Dr. Christopher R. Watters, MD

I’m a retired RN and I highly recommend Dr Watters for hernia surgery. He communicates well, tells you what to expect and follows up closely. I’ll definitely seek his skilled approach again should I need surgery in the future. Know that knowledge, experience and skill are what you want in a surgeon- Dr Watters exemplifies these characteristics. You’ll be in good hands! Staff is great too-

Dr. Watters did my hernia repair. I cannot say enough good things about the process. From first contact to my final follow up visit and everything in between with Dr. Watters was remarkable. Office visits, never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting area or inside the room for my appointments. His professionalism put my mind at ease from the start. He and his staff explained he everything to me and if was truly a flawless process. Great communication! One of the best medical interactions I've experienced in my lifetime. If you're in need of abdominal surgery/hernia repair look no further. You'll be in great hands with Dr. Watters and his practice.

I required surgery 30 months ago. Due to family circumstances had to put it off. Consequently my condition worsened. Finally got back to Dr. Watters. He operated, and made me as good as new. I label that a top professional.

Would definitely not him as a surgeon. Does not listen to patient and is very condescending.

I hate going to the doctors and never take the time to give a rating for anything or anyone. However, Dr. Christopher Watters was so exceptional that I had to share my experience. Dr. Watters made a very uncomfortable situation very comfortable. He seems like a real "man's man". I did not feel "violated" with his bed side manner. I trusted him and did not dread going to see him for follow up visits. I highly recommend him for his expertise and excellent bedside manner!!

I would not recommend Dr. Watters. Seemed unconcerned about the patient and in a rush to leave the examining room. Did not contact family after the surgery as is usual at Duke Raleigh. Discharged the patient with incomplete directions. Did not examine the surgical site at follow up visit even though the patient was complaining of pain.

In the two times I saw him, I felt rushed. I'm not sure if he is so concerned with being on time that he wants to leave as soon as he enters the exam room. He tried to leave before answering my questions. Not a good experience.

I had a complex procedure to remove a tumor off a nerve on the front side of my spine. After meeting Dr. Watters, I knew he was the man for the job. Immediately after talking to Dr. Watters, it is quite apparent that he has extensive experience and has seen more than most surgeons. He was extremely confident, and rightfully so, that he could perform this complex procedure without any side effects. He has given me my life back. Dr. Watters is truly a world class surgeon.
