He is a great doctor!

My mother in law goes to him also. She is in her mid 60, he put her on zanaflex, Klonopin, hydrocodone, and adderal on top of the blood pressure meds she was already taking. Because she was getting the shakes in her on hand when going through a stressful situation at work. He ups the meds whenever she calls and ask !!! He doesn’t make her go in every 3 months like he is supposed to !! He is a Back Woods Dr who needs to loose his liscence ! I stopped going to him & am trying to get my mother in law to stop ! But she likes getting her meds :/ SO mad at him ! Shame on him ! He’s supposed to help his patients not make them worse !! A walking zombie !

I think the good reviews are submitted by their office, Defiantly better doctors in the York area, would suggest going else where. He makes you feel like you are a bother to him, Obviously you make a Dr. appointment because you are having a issue and you get there and he makes you feel like your stupid! They are only wanting your money they don't care about you as a person. I actually had him tell me that there was nothing he could do for me about my problem, and he had been my doctor for years (not anymore)

He helps in and out if the office .

Dr Knudson was my PCP for approximately a year before I had to switch because they no longer took my new insurance that I got. My primary problems were chest pains, chronic back pain, and anxiety. He put me on Atenolol to help slow my heart down because my PVCs can be bothersome at times. And a fairly large dose of Xanax (4mg per day) for anxiety. I consistently complained of my heart hurting on each visit, he never referred me to a cardiologist. On my last visit, of course I said my heart hurts, to which his response was "so what". Good thing about the whole insurance issue, because after giving 3 years of my life to the Army to protect and defend this country and the people in it, I wonder who the real enemy is at times. Dr Knudson had his secretary write out a paper for my new family doctor, kind of like an introductory document. He wrote down that my mood/affect was "stoned". I asked my new doctor for a copy of this because when I saw that I was shocked! I do not now, nor have I… ever, partaken in any type of recreational drug use. I was not "stoned" in any way, whatsoever! I called his office to inquire about this defamatory statement that was written about me and the secretary transferred me to Dr Knudson's voicemail and I politely asked him if he could call me back and offer an explanation as to why he would write such things. The other categories on that paper were thinking, memory, speech and he wrote good for those. If I was stoned, wouldn't I have been impaired in some way?? Anyway, I'm still waiting for him to call me back. On May 1st, I had surgery to remove a lump from my breast. Since I had that one known heart issue, I had to go to Apple Hill and have an EKG and blood work done, I guess as "medical clearance". The EKG came back ABNORMAL and detected 3 additional heart defects, one of which is life threatening. Prolonged QT intervals, widespread STT changes, and a sinus rhythm (SR) issue. I just can't help but wonder if these problems were detected sooner, would I be in the mess I'm in now? Should I have been sent to a cardiologist? And as far as his feeble attempt to make me look like a "stoner" to my new doctor, I was told that Xanax is only a temporary drug prescribed for a couple weeks to a couple months usually, and the patient should be closely monitored, as it can be highly addictive to some people. I was told he tried to make me look bad probably to try and hide the fact that he had me on an extremely large dosage for a year and never bothered calling to see how I was doing on it or anything like that. I'm not really bothered by that. Better people have tried to hurt me and actually succeeded. But I think when a patient tells you for a year that their heart hurts and they have stabbing pains and such, it's teeter tottering on the edge of malpractice not to send them to a specialist to get checked out. Especially when your attitude is "so what".

Dr. Knudson's staff is friendly, he's always on time, and he answers all of your questions. This is the way a doctor visit should be!!

I have been going to Dr K for several years. He is the best and is extremely kind and intelligent. He is relaxed and yet really listens. I often go in confused about symptoms and leave feeling really healthy. His nurses are nice, also. We tried every pediatrician in York and ended my taking my children to him. He has several children and treats mine like he would his own. He has lots of common sense. He is THE BEST.

I called in as a new patient and his staff was wonderful. They worked with me and my insurance to get me in the very next day. I've been to several offices but was impressed when I went to his office. The staff were helpful and friendly, the nurses efficient, I was seen on time, and the best part is Dr. Knudson was able to make changes to my medications that other doctors never thought of. At my follow up appointment I was again seen promptly and was feeling much better. I recommend him to get an opinion on complicated problems or things other doctors just have not figured out. He is very knowledgeable and maybe he can even get you off some medicines rather than just give you one more pill. I also got my test results on the phone the very next day.

I have been going to this practice and specifically Dr. Knudson for over ten years. I am constantly impressed with the time and kindness he has shared with me, my wife, and now our son. He gives you all the time you need, answers all of your questions, and provides helpful explanations. As new parents he has been EXTREMELY supportive. We get better care than other parents do from the local pediatric practices. He is a change of pace in family medicine. Our family plans to stay with him for as long as we can!

Dr. Knudson is one of the most caring and professional person I have ever known. He listens and accuratly diagnosises problems while try to help out the paitent as much as possible through any means possible.
