Have you seen Dr. Daniel De Armond?
Spontaneous Pneumothorax (August 2016, University Hospital, San Antonio, TX)

Dr. DeArmond literally saved my life! After my lung collapsed (and failed to heal any blebs), Dr. DeArmond performed surgery which led to a speedy recovery, minimally invasive (and least painful!). I am thankful for his promptness everyday being available for questions, his knowledge and expertise, and most of all, to be able to go back home to my wife and daughter, where I provide private music instruction to students of all ages on a variety of instruments. I am most grateful to have both my lung back! God bless...

I have never had to have any type of surgery but I am glad I found Dr DeArmond. He seems to be very good and carefull about his work and is very easy to get in to see. I will look to him if I ever need other surgery again. Even After having complications not caused by his work but the nature of my problem I feel like he is doing a good job.
The best surgeon ever!

Dr. DeArmond specializes in minimally invasive thoracic surgery. As such his focus is on the patient's comfort and well being. Whereas the alternative surgery takes four hours and 4 to 8 weeks of painful recovery, Dr. DeArmond's surgery takes two hours, you can go home in two days, and recovery is under two weeks. He is very engaging and intelligent and exudes confidence,
