Dr. David Carleton Baker, MD

I am sure at one point and time he was a good Dr. but now I do believe that Mr Baker has lost his way. have 4 surgeons say my knee is done but Mr Baker believes different. the insurance company sure got what they paid for. I was worried until i read these reviews. and I am glad I did. I would call him by his title But in order to be called a Dr you should have Ethics, at least most of the ones i have been to see did, unfortunately he does not. So if you are going to see him on a IME (independent medical exam.) please have your lawyer present, you will need him. i would not have written anything but if other people had left it go I would have wondered myself. I hope to meet him again someday to explain what that title should stand for.

Bought and paid for by workmans comp companies very unprofessional and rude. Questioned directions of my treating neurosugeon and directly contradicted his return to work ditections in order to help the ins co force me back to work . My neurosurgeon is the top professional in the area and Baker is not even a neurologist . All he does is workmans comp exams and is paid by the insurance company.he ridiculed my answers and tried to trip me up by asking the same questions in different ways. this man will do exactly as the insurance company wants.if you are forced to go to him like i was make sure your attorney is there

Saw this charactor for an illegal I.M.E. from an employer who fired me before I even got to the Trauma Center with my leg hanging . He arrived LATE. Never washed his hands. Never introduced himself and conducted most unetchical exam of a human ,I've ever witessed. Never asked me to remove clothing..except my socks. Made a rude comment about my left big toe suffering from a mold infection. Finally , I told him..Excuse me..I just had the toenail surgically removed by Podiatry Surgeon. He rendered a report that I only suffered a little laceration...33cm degloving of skin,mucle and tendon and being further followed by a Specialists in Phila was cause enough to stop his pain inflicted exam. I was summoned because my hip is also damaged from my accident and he giggled about that and walked away..Ruling it was just a case of Tendonitis. I have a tear in the Pelvis as verified by MRI with contract..conducted by a Trauma Center. He's an insurance doctor.

Dr. Baker is one the great ones. His knowledge and expertice is second to none.

He really takes the time to determine your course of treatment. Exceptional.

Dr. Baker and the satff showed concern about my problem, and did everything they could to mske sure the appointment ended successfully.Courtesy was extended from the time I arived until I left.

I accompanied my mother for her surgery with Dr. Baker. She was very nervous but kept telling me how nice her doctor was. Dr. Baker came in to see her before the surgery, introduced himself and took time to explain to me what would be happening with my mother that day. The staff at the surgical facility were also very professional and accommodating. I was notified as soon as my mother was out of surgery and allowed to sit with her. Dr. Baker checked on her a few times before she was given the okay to leave. He also spoke with me to let me know what to expect and let me know that the surgery went well. I have had few encounters with doctors who will go to the lenght that Dr. Baker did. His caring and thoughtful treatment of my mother and myself would enable me to recommend his care without concern for anothers well being.

Dr. Baker is very unprofessional. His attitude towards patients is very impolite. He enters the room with coffee cup in hand and doesn't even introduce himself. I'm sure that he has made many a patient uncomfortable with his demeanor. Although you have your medical records from previous orthopedic doctors with your diagnoisis, he looks at you as is you are faking your injury because he has already been paid by the insurance company before you arrive in his office. Most of this Dr.'s work is with insurance companies for independent review studies when you have already seen a previous physician and have already been diagnosed. Although you have already been diagnosed by many orthopedic doctor's, Dr. Baker doesn't believe in any of the records you bring with you because he doesn't have anything to do with the health or medical field. Many people have experienced that he doesn't have the knowledge or training about orthopedic medicine. Dr. Baker's job is just to make the insurance… companies happy by saying that there is nothing wrong with the people that come to see him. All of the patients Dr. Baker has are just from insurance companies. You never see a regular patient with a problem coming to see him, only patients who are required to see him because an insurance company has sent them there. At the beginning of Dr. Bakers profile it shows he only has a 2 star rating...after 24 years in the field you should be an expert with the highest rating possible.
