Dr. David Michael Dechellis, DO

Really had poor success with my chronic back pain for years before seeing Dr DeChellis. I am now back to activities and exercise. Great guy and better physician

I have been seeing Dr. DeChellis for about 6 months. I have been in the medical field for 38 years and worked along side many doctors. I found Dr. DeChellis to be very knowledgable, professional, kind and caring. He listened to my symptoms and his diagnosis was right on when other doctors just blew me off. His treatment plan for me has helped me greatly. He is highly skilled with his procedures and techniques. He made a procedure that I had very comfortable which could have been very painful. His PA Nicole is great also. She is very knowledgable and listens to all your concerns. I found his techs and office staff to be very professional also. I would recommend Dr. Dechellis to anyone looking for his services. In fact I told my PCP to refer any patients he has needing pain management to Dr. DeChellis. I recommend him hands down.

Found him to be rude. Took my 84 year old mother in because she is having to change her doctors because of insurance no longer covering the PCP she had. New PCP does not prescribe pain meds and sent us to Dechellis for pain meds. After having to wait a month to get in to see him, 1. she had to wait 40+ minutes in exam room (about a hour from her appointment time), 2. First thing she was told by him was the appointment was only a meet and greet and he had no idea how to help her., 3. He told her he would prescribe no medication. I believe this is when my sister left the room (I was in waiting room). I came in so my mother would not be alone as she cannot hear very well and I wanted to make sure someone knew what was being said. He told me everything he would not do, and I tried to explain our point of view. When he seemed to not care what I had to say, things down graded from there. I tried to explain that this was not what we expected and that I understood he had rules to… follow. He told me he would not have a hostile patient. I suggested that it was time for us to finish up for the day and come back in two weeks as he wanted, thus giving us time to digest and calm down. He repeated he would not have a hostile patient, to which I replied that was why I was suggesting it was time for us to go that day. That was when he walked out of the room telling us he would refer us for a second opinion. Not nicely done sir.

Waited for over a month to see this doctor because my mom was in alot of pain and her new PCP did not want to prescribe pain meds which my mom had been taking through her old PCP. Waited in his office for over an hour. He came in stated that this was a meet a greet session and preceded to talk to us about things related to my moms problem which were not correct. My mom has bee in a lot of pain and she was hoping for pain meds or something to relieve her pain. On a paper he circled he either did or she needed xray and other things related to her back. She does not have a back problem. Bottom line he was not caring or helpful and some what rude. would not recommend.

Worst pain Dr out there. Pushes shots an surgery. Shots are ineffective, bed side manner is terrible if you do not agree to be a pin cushion after several trys. Doesn't care if pain meds works., only if he's making money off of shots or pushing stimulator for kick back. Even his physian assistants are leaving his practice.

Bad bedside manner and seemed eager to experiment on me. Proven past treatments with medications disparaged, eager to bad mouth any of my previous doctors that prescribed meds

Dr. DeChellis has seen for for 9 months after deferred from my Sports Medicine doctor. We had tried a variety of treatments with only mild improvement. Then Dr D recommended I try regenerative injections called PRP for my disc herniation pain since I didn't want surgery. 3 month after the he did the procedure and I have only mild pain for the first time in 2 YEARS!. Started to run again. Would do it again on a second. Love his staff too. Thanks girls

if you want to treat your chronic pain with meds, don't go. told me to have major back surgery (for a 30 year old injury), instead of continuing treating my pain with the evil opiods, told me to have surgery. (back surgeon referred me to pain meds as alternate to surgery) wasted my time, and money, on the visit. i read a similar review, but figured i'd try anyway. lesson learned.

Loved Dr. D's visit. I'm not in the medical field but he explained my problems to me using a erase board and marker. He has me scheduled for physical therapy, and hand wrote the types of exercises he wants them to do to me. Really felt comfortable with him. Down to earth guy. Excited to get better
