Dr. Burns is an excellent Dr. The most that I like about Dr. Burns is that he listens and you will walk out the office with an answer. The staff is wonderful n he also has a lab in his office. Everyone there is wonderful. I am so happy that I found him.
Dr. Burns is a wonderful doctor. I suffered for years with joint pain. After seeing Dr. Burns, after a few months, he had me feeling healthy and has stayed on top of my illnesses. My disease no longer controls my life.
Dr burns saved my life. Everyone that works at the clinic is very nice, helpful and cares about you (the patient). I would recommend dr burns to anyone that is sick and don't know why. He always takes his time with each patient and you can tell he loves what he does and he is very good at it.
Dr. Burns accurately diagnosed a somewhat rare situation for me. His guidance to seek a medical expert that could perform the surgery I needed was very helpful. Dr. Burns is a great Rhumatologist, and his knowledge of other medical conditions is excellent.
Dr. Burns is a great doctor! He takes his time with you and doesn't make you feel rushed. He is very smart and he did everything possible to figure out the reason for my problems. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants answers! Not to mention his staff is amazing! They are the sweetest and always get things done when asked to do so.
Dr. Burns is a great doctor! The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Dr. Burns is an excellent physician, so dedicated, so meticulous. He really cares by his patients. I have been visiting many doctors in my lifetime and he is the best. I congratulate Dr. Burns for his true dedication to his profession. May the Lord bless him.
I went to Dr. Burns back in May of this year with horrible swelling in my ankles and feet. He diagnosed me with Lymphedema and under his treatment and care, I am doing exceptionally well. He has me on two medications and has me walking every night feeling better each day as I am losing weight in the process. I read one review where this person was complaining that he requires you to get your blood drawn on each visit. Although I can see how that can be inconvenient, I think the blood draws are necessary to continue to monitor your health issues and make sure that the medications he has prescribed for you are working and keeping you healthy. Has not overprescribed for me. I am extremely happy with my treatment and care thus far. He has always been a consummate professional with me and I love his nurse Joanna too! Appreciate your efforts in helping me Dr. Burns!
When I first came to see Dr Burns , I had excessive joint swelling. He ran some test and put me on some meds. The swelling went down. He listens to you. I have other problems that he has gotten under control also. In reference to a early post. He doesn't treat you like a piece of meat. I was not able to correct the earlier post. So as far as I'm concerned he is a great doctor
Dr. Burns always had time for my questions and I came in with a note book. He explained medications and why they were prescribed. Starting with low dosage and taking me off of meds as symptoms changed. I could not have asked for a better physician.
Dr Burns is a superb diagnostician. He is willing to take the time to solve difficult cases. He is the best doctor I have ever worked with. He has a great sense of humor and a good bedside manner. His staff is friendly and helpful. Blood draws are done in the office.
Dr. Burns has excellent organized staff. He listens well and is very knowledgeable about rheumatology and Internal diseases. In follow up visits he always inquires about the patient's progress and tries to get better result.
Dr. Burns has helped me with all the problems of my arthritis pain. I truly don't believe I would be walking without him. His staff is superior, especially Sherry and Maria. I highly recommend Dr. Burns.
I am so grateful for Dr. Burns. He was able to diagnose my problem which after seeing three other doctors was a great relief.
The most excellent dr. I have. He spends time with patients, listens to what you have to say, is very thorough, discusses all issues, medical results from him and other doctors, is very knowledgeable regarding newest meds, using meds that work the best . He is the best doctor I have, which is many. If I have to wait a little longer for my appt. time,I don't mind at all, as the time spent with patients is so valuable.
Usually a wait time but I understand this because he spends plenty of time with patients. Very pleasant bedside manner and has gotten wonderful results with my mother, who can be a difficult patient! Very friendly atmosphere in the office and love all the staff. I would recommend him.
If it were not for Dr. Burns, I probably would not be walking, much less moving. I have rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and psoriatic arthritis (PS) combination and Dr. Burns manages my arthritis with the right medications for me which prevents me from having many unnecessary painful flares and tests blood often so that I will avoid developing kidney or liver problems. He cares about his patients. The staff is great too. It is like a family at that office. Another important thing to note: My psoriatic arthritis was so bad that I my feet looked like cracked red painful cuts from the flares; after Dr. Burns prescribed the right medications, my feet are smooth and pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Burns if you want to get and stay well.
I have been seeing Dr Burns for several years. He is an outstanding doctor. He is very knowledgeable and very patient with me. Every diagnosis he has ever given me has been correct. He has a wonderful staff. They are courteous and very helpful to the patients. I have recommended Dr Burns to friends and family and I will continue to recommend him highly. HE IS A GREAT DOCTOR!
Very good. Checks blood on every visit. He take time to talk to you. Does run you through like a piece of meat
Dr Burns has worked with me solving my arthritis pain as well as getting my other systems up to par. He keeps close tabs on my vitals and lets me know of any concerning issues.
Dr. Burns is very intelligent, courteous, and experienced.
I have Lupus, Sjogren's Syndrome, Ankylosing Spondilitis, a muscle disorder, and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), and a host of other related chronic health problems. Prior to going to Dr. Burns, a series of doctors over several years gave me incorrect diagnoses including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and depression. All those doctors were wrong. What I had was numerous autoimmune disorders. Over a period of time Dr. Burns diagnosed them all except the CIDP, and he referred me to a wonderful neurologist for that. After several years of treatment under Dr. Burns I am feeling better than before I came to him. Every single one of my health issues has improved and I'm feeling very stable. I owe my life to Dr. Burns. Without him I quite honestly might not be alive. He is BY FAR the BEST DOCTOR I have encountered for autoimmune conditions. I recommend giving Dr. Burns plenty of time to diagnose your condition, because autoimmune disorders can be extremely difficult to diagnose. I have compared my results to other people with autoimmune diseases who use other doctors, and I feel like I'm doing better than most. He sees me frequently and stays on top of matters. I think part of my success is that Dr. Burns is an extremely smart doctor and I have stayed with him to give him time to diagnose my numerous health problems. I plan on staying with him forever.
I have been seeing Dr.Burns for years. When my daughter was 16 she was diagnosed with lupus no one would treat her because of her age and most doctors thought she would be a whining brat. Dr.Burns managed her care perfectly. When I started having trouble with my knee and required steroid injection that Dr.Burns took care of my health issues immediately. He is a very patience and caring doctor . Like most doctor that I have visited they try to treat you in 20 minutes and they are finished and become impatient if it takes any longer. Not Dr.Burns he really wants to see what medical issues you are having and offer the best treatment options . I strongly recommend him. He also has a great office staff .
The office staff is atrociously inept. If you like the following things, this office is NOT for you: 1) your tests ordered and sent accurately to the imaging facility, 2) a call back after you specifically asked for one, 3) the office to be open (or even the phone answered) past NOON 1/2 of the days and 4 pm the other days, 4) respectful and competent staff, 5) your appointment scheduled correctly (not written down wrong for a different day, or 6) receipt and confirmation of your test results. In fact, after 1 month, 3 visits, 4 phone calls, and 3 phone calls from the imaging center to this office - I have NOT been able to see Dr. Burns and receive the results of the 3 tests that he ordered (and which I paid hundreds of dollars for). The incompetent and disrespectful office staff was too much to bear. STAY AWAY
I've been seeing Dr. Burns since 2007. He is the best doctor of his kind. He listens and takes his time with every patient. Yes, you might have to wait an hour or two but when you see him he is never in a hurry to leave the room. He is one of the most informative doctors in is specialty. He has saved my life and there is no other Doctor I would see.
I use to be a long term patient of Dr. Burns but recently had to change Doctors and thank God I did because the drugs he was prescribing to treat my condition was bordering on negligent. My new doctor was able to decrease my drugs from 7 to 1 with greater wellness and less side effects. Make me wonder if he is getting kick backs from all the pharma's. Lesson learn, always seek second and third opinions. Plus Dr. Burns keeps you waiting for hours.
Do not waste your time going here. The wait is horrible, and the staff are RUDE! It was the worst experience at a doctor's office that I ever had.
Staff is less than desirable and they do not speak highly of the doctor.
I went to Dr Burns in 2010 for arthritis. He never did treat the arthritis but did find a different, unusual problem that required surgery. I'm glad he discovered it and will always be grateful for that. But his office staff is cranky, his wait time is always over an hour (and I work), he takes 8-10 viles of blood at every visit & the ridiculous policy of writing prescriptions one month at a time without refill's has me saying enough is enough. I sincerely appreciate that he helped me with my unusual problem. But he has all but ignored my real problem (arthritis) in what seems to be quest to find something else that might be more interesting? His reputation among the medical community is terrible, as told to me by the surgeon who operated on me, my general practitioner & the rheumatologist who gave me a second opinion (actually a closed practice but he made an exception when he found out who my dr was). I like Dr Burns but enough is enough. I'm taking my business and my arthritis elsewhere.
I wouldn't not recommend anyone to visit Dr Burns office, the nurses are very rude that sit at the front counter. Dr burns himself is rude. The wait time is extremely long. This is the worst experience i have ever had. You call the office and they keep you on hold for a long time, and then come back to the phone with an attitude.
I have been looking for a doctor who cares and knows medicine. I found one in Dr. Burns!
I READ DIFFERENT REVIEWS ON DR. BURNS BEFORE I VISITED HIM, AND AS I HAD BEEN TO 4 OTHER DOCTORS WHO DID NOT HAVE A CLUE OF WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME, I WENT TO DR. BURNS. I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID. I HAVE FELT ILL FOR A FEW YEARS AND HE LISTENED, WITH CONFIDENCE I MIGHT ADD, AND REALLY KNEW MY DIAGNOSIS BEFORE I HAD TESTS. HE MADE SURE THAT I HAD THE TESTS THAT I NEEDED TO MAKE THE RIGHT DIAGNOSIS. HE WAS SPOT ON, AND I FEEL SO GREAT. HE NOT ONLY GIVES A PRESCRIPTION TO HELP YOUR PAIN, BUT HE MONITORS IT SO THAT THE PRESCRIPTION HELPS THE PATIENT, BUT DOES AS LITTLE HARM AS POSSIBLE. ONE MUST HAVE A WAIT, BUT IT IS WORTH IT AS HE SPENDS MUCH TIME WITH HIS PATIENTS. THANK YOU DR. BURNS.
I started going to Dr. Burns in desperate shape. I could no longer easily get up and down or do stairs...I was not sleeping more than 90 minutes due to pain issues. Dr. Burns figured out what was wrong, changed my meds a few times and now I am pain free. PAIN FREE! Hooray and Hallelujah! Last weekend I was chasing my 11 month old grandbaby up and down stairs. You better believe I thought of Dr. Burns! I also love his staff, kind and gentle women. His phlebotomist is the BEST! I have bad veins and she gets blood in ONE try. I've had doctors try up to 18 times to get it. She's wonderful! If you are looking for schmooze, look elsewhere. If you are looking for someone who is a great detective and will figure out what is wrong with you, Dr. Burns is YOUR MAN! My family and I will be grateful forever!! Thanks, Dr. Burns!
He holds a prescription pad in his office the entire visit. Hardly looks at you and as you talk, keeps writing RX's. Seven RX's the first visit, another 5 on the next visit and still more on the next one. How in the world do you manage all that and how can you tell what is working and what isn't? Never met anyone like this. A strange sense of humor as well.
He was creepy. He said he could do tests but it wouldn't change his diognosis and that I'd be in a wheelchair in a year.I was home crying for days.well, guess what?no wheelchair.I said I wanted to have one more kid ,so he said to have it fast. I changed dr.'s and the new Dr. laughed at the diagnosis I had been given.I'd never go back. The sad thing was that alady I saw paying her bill was also crying.
Dr. Burns is sincerely interested in his patients. He orders appropriate tests and is accurate in diagnosing the problem. Being a Doctor of Internal Medicine, he has the ability to treat the whole person and not only rheumatic diseases. He helps me with things that my Family Physician has not been able to diagnose.
Before Dr. Burns I had been evaluated by four doctors and none of them had a clue.On my first visit I could not walk without holding on my wife's shoulders. Within 10 minutes I had a diagnoses, was given the proper prescriptions and within a week I could walk alone with a cane. I am now in remission.
Yes, it's a pain waiting. Try for the first appts of the day. He spends as much time as needed to get you taken care of; I never feel like he's rushing through to get to the next patient--which explains the waiting times. Great treatment and manner. Staff is great if you get to know them.
He doesn't automatically go for the en vogue treatments with the newest medications being pushed by the pharma's which was fine by be. He had my condition PSA under control pretty quick without having to resort to the strongest medications. He does prescribe a large amount of varying medications. His wait times are horrendous. usually over an hour. Never less than half an hour. He has a small staff so the phone is always busy, as they are always on the phone with insurance companies. He insists that you fill out a ton of paperwork every visit, as if your a new patient, which is highly annoying.
I went to Dr. Burns with a laundry list of joint complaints that my GP couldn't diagnose. He had me diagnosed in one visit, proof on subsequent MRi & genetic test. He's a bit odd with professionals in the trade, not sure why. I think he likes you to look it up, and be involved in your care, because it's COMPLICATED. But he doesnt particularly want to defend his diagnosis to another professional, i.e. he won't debate it.period But very easy to get along with otherwise
