Dr. David Ekland

Dr. Ekland did a breast augmentation on me. He talked me into a much larger cup size than I wanted--telling me that I would love having what he called "bazoombas". I did NOT love it, as he predicted, because after the surgery, I looked like an absolute freak. I ended up going to another surgeon to have the whole mess removed. He also did a face lift on my friend's 49 yr old mom. She came away with terrible scars in front of her ears , & absolutely no feeling in her face for over 8 years. She too, went to another surgeon who repaired the damage successfully--& restored the sensation to her face--even after all those years of numbness. I have spoken with another patient who had a tummy-tuck, & Dr. Ekland sliced her from hip to hip, and left her with horrible surgical scars that have never resolved. She is a fit individual, & still agonizes over the extensive scar tissue in her abdomen & around her navel. She cannot wear a 2-piece bathing suit to this day. All this occurred a decade… ago, & I am still prompted to write this review because these experiences were so lingering, that I felt it necessary to warn other prospective patients of the damage this doctor caused to people I have had personal experience with. The "stars" you can select to review Dr. Ekland (ease of appointment, promptness, etc) have NOTHING to do with his expertise as a surgeon. Stay away from him.
