Dr Giammar is back at Riverside hospital! So glad he is back. Highly recommend- he is amazing.
Excellent and dedicated. Good communication. Highly professional staff.
Dr. Giammar and his diligent staff worded hard to help me and find the problem that other doctors could not. Thank you so much!
Dr Giammar is memorable. He will go to great legnths to help you once you are a patient. Very easy to talk to and personable. I highly recommend him
Dr Giammar prides himself on communication and expects excellence from the hospital. My family would go nowhere else!
Excellent. Worth the wait and trouble to find. He has multiple offices so you have to call around. Colon cancer specialist and able to do colonoscopies too. Highly recommend.
He is so nice!!! Dr Giammar is really personal and goes out of his way to take calls. He is well connected and helped me find the doctors I needed. I highly recommend him because he goes the extra mile and really cares a lot
He did emergency surgery on a family member and was super nice. Highly recommend
Great. He has many offices, so call ahead. Highly recommend for colonoscopy.
Very busy but cares a lot. Will spend time communicating and making sure you know all about surgery. Somewhat older than pictured.
Truly cares about you as a whole. Kind, funny. Very intelligent, and knowledgeable. Would never hesitate to contact.
So happy he has returned to Columbus. Great doctor!!!
Dr Giammar is now at St anns hospital but came to visit me when I was at OSU. He really cares. I recommend him to everyone.
The Emergency Department referred my husband to Dr Giammar and I could not have been more pleased with his level of care, compassion and communication. Dr Giammar was prompt, thorough and helped the hospital function as a team for seamless experience. Everybody was knew exactly what was going on and made sure the we felt informed. Dr Giammar spent extra time talking to the nursed and coordinating the discharge process. I would highly recommend Mount Carmel St Ann's and Dr Giammar. Thank you so much!
Highly recommend. High volume surgeon but doesnt act like a surgeon. Worth the wait.
recommend. very personable even though a surgeon. had to call the hospital to find his office. seems location has changed to Westerville
Highly recommend. Super caring and well liked by all the staff. He will go the extra mile for you.
Tough to find but worth it- there is a new office in Westerville by the hospital even though other addresses and numbers are listed. I was able to get in the same week after my family doctor called.
Good bedside manner. Really takes his time. Dr. Giammar's old office gave misinformation and lied but the ER doctor called him and got a appointment right away. So happy he is back.
No health insurance, But Dr G took me any way. He treated me like I was his only patient. Really did a good job and got me a family doctor. He has connections.
Dr Giammar does colon cancer surgery and a very good job of it. He seems to care a lot and takes pride in his work. My family really liked his bedside manner and was impressed that he called the other doctors involved. I trust him and would highly recommend Dr Giammar.
He cares and it shows. I trust Dr. Gimmar because he takes the time to listen. He takes pride in his work but is not prideful.
I love Dr Giammar! He is great. This doctor is really busy but always makes time to talk and make me feel like I am the only patient he has. I don't care about his office; quite simply, Dr Giammar care and it always shows.
Exceptional care. Always worth waiting for because he goes the extra mile. The doctor's old office was misleading and told us wrong. The office is easy to get to but hard to find because it is not his office. He is busy but I trust him and he does a lot of cancer surgery. The nurses trust him and are very good.
Dr Giammer trusts his patients with direct access. The doctor personally took all my family's calls while I was in the hospital after emergency surgery. The staff liked him and there was teamwork.
Dr Giammar always takes the time to sit down and listen no matter how busy he is. He got on the phone and talked to my other doctor to make sure I was well cared for. And his office did my paperwork without charging like other doctors. He is one of my favorite doctors and is always worth waiting for.
Dr Giammar is very unusual in that he takes all calls on his cell phone which always has a full voicemail box! No nurse or anyone . He performs surgery Monday through Thursday and sees post ops on Fridays. Wait time for post op visit is 2-1/2 hours minutes minimum and if you have questions or issues you are out of luck because he rushes you out of there. Find a different surgeon! I'm told he used to be in a practice with other surgeons but then took a three year fellowship and now rents office space on the south side. The sign by the road has s different doctors name even! This man is out of control.
Always in the hospital. He was there every step of the way and made sure I got the best possible care. Made a emergency not so bad.
HE IS THE BEST HE SAVED MY MOTHERS LIFE LITERALLY I TRUST HIM OUT OF ALL SURGEONS I HAVE EVER MET, I TRUST HIM WITH MY LIFE AS MY MOTHER DOES, HE IS AMAZING AT HIS TRADE AS A EXCELLANT SURGEON I HAVE COLON PROBLEMS CURRENTLY HE IS WHOM I AM TRUSTING TO TREAT MY MEDICAL PROBLEMS IF I FIND OUT I MAY NEED SURGERY HE IS WHOM I WILL TRUST---I AM A CURRENT PATIENT AND I HAVE NOTHING BUT THE HIGHEST RATINGS TO GIVE HIM HE IS ABSOLUTELY A DOCTOR TO BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR OWN LIFE I KNOW PERSONALLY BY HIM SAVING MY MOTHER FROM CLOSE DEATH --I RECOMEND HIM HIGHLY :)
Saved my life! Great doctor and an equally great man.
Dr. Giammar is extremely dedicated to his patients. He still has the passion for helping people that some doctors lose over time. Not only is he deeply compassionate, he is an excellent diagnostician and surgically technically competent. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.
really caring. seems to take his time. have your doctor find him and get an appointment- very difficult to get into the office otherwise
Super caring. He went out of his way to take extra time and make sure I knew what was going on and what was going to happen. He seems very respected at the hosopital as cancer specialist and is well liked by the nurses
Refreshing to be able to speak directly to the physician without having to go through layers of staff and phone tree. While difficult to find and get into, excellent surgeon and worth the effort. OhioHealth referral line helped me find him- thanks!
Dr Giammar is a very caring, compassionate doctor. He never makes you feel like you are an inconvenience and is always willing to answer all of your questions. He's a great doc.
Compassionate, caring and enthused about colonoscopies, colon cancer and crhrons.
Highly recommend. Ask your doctor to get an appointment as he is difficult to get into. Very concerned about making sure I understood everything. His mindful nature made me feel very comfortable.
Mindful and caring- he put me at ease and went out of his way to help me complete my screening colonoscopy in quick order. Highly recommend. Not at stated address.
So caring. A doc who actually listens. Spent time with me and put me at ease.
A doctor who actully listens. He did emergency surgery. I was travelling from out of town and could not have been in better hands. Actully followed up with me and my family physcian when I returned home. I hope everyone in Columbus is this nice.
Highly recommend. How often do you get the doctor directly on the phone or get one to email you promptly? Had to call the hospital referral line to get an appt.
I trust Dr Giammar. He did emergency surgery on a family member and I came to him for cancer surgery. Would definitely recommend. Extremely compassionate and caring. You can tell he cares deeply for his patients and their recovery.
Highly recommend him. He saved my life. Always concerned, caring and compassionate.
He was so kind to visit me in the hospital when I had surgery. I always know that he cares. Dr. Giammar is so busy but he always me feel special.
Dedicated. Once you are his patient, he will go to great lengths to make sure you get the best care. For the rest of your life. Highly recommend.
Really difficult to find- best to have your doctor call for an appointment or go through the hospitals referral numbers. Worth the effort
ALWAYS makes sure his patients get the best care- just ask the nurses
He cares. Didn't think he as a surgeon at first. Listens and made it easy for me to make a decision.
Went out of his way over the holidays to help me- highly recommend
Recommend highly. The hospital is the best way to get through to his new office. He is not at the above listed location.
Mindful and caring. Highly recommend! He is a cancer specialist but the ER doctor found him.
Communicated with me and my family and took all all the time we needed to fully understand. I felt like he gave me all the options and information so that I could make my own decisions. I really appreciated his effort and trust him. Very busy and difficult to get into but absolutely worth it. My internist was the one who was able to finally get an appointment.
Worth the wait. Helpful and concerned. He personally called my doctor and went the extra mile to get all the information. Highly recommend but difficult to get into.
Personable and took the time to explain what was going on. Very good bedside manner. Difficult to get an appointment since he is highly recommended and a cancer specialist.
Excellent. One of the few physicians worth the wait. Highly recommended.
he does a lot of cancer surgery which is why I went to him. knows and cares a lot. works well with other specialists and went out of his way to call other doctors and make sure I had the best care
Exceptional. Caring and took time to listen to figure out my problem.
I liked that he had a good sense of humor and didn't take himself too seriosly even though he a specialist. He communicates well and gave me clear expectations for my procedure and recovery. I have told my friends about him.
Not at the stated location. Had to call the hospital to find new location and number, but worth the effort of locating.
Spent a lot of time with me and my family so I knew what to expect. He really seemed to care a lot. Would highly recommend
Skilled surgeon and caring physician. Takes his time and personal, too. No longer with old practice. My internist had to make a personal call on my behalf to get me in.
Great doc. Compassionate. No longer at the listed address. Had to call one of the hospitals to arrange for an appointment
I was really nervous about the problem I had. Dr. Giammar put me completely at ease. No awful, embarrassing exams. He understood my anxiety and went out of his way to accommodate my schedule and have anesthesia available. Problem solved. Highly recommend if you can an appointment. His new office is very busy.
Excellent surgeon. Highly specialized by still personable.
Compassionate, caring and skilled. Easiest and painless colonoscopy. Can treat hemorrhoids without surgery, too. Has a new office not listed with most hospitals but phone number works: 353-3000
I like him because he is memorable. I would recommend him to a friend.
Great doc! Sadly, no longer with his former practice. Really haven't made the connection with any other doctor in the group.
Excellent! A true professional. To the point, but connected. Would recommend.
Saw the doctor for an emergency. He could not have done a better job of keeping my family informed and gave them peace of mind. Very concerned about my pain and plotted the recovery process out so that I could return to work. He even called me at home to check up one me. How often does a doc do that anymore?
Highly recommend for colon cancer screening and colorectal cancer treatment. He cares and will guide you through the whole process. I trust Dr. Giammar.
Great cancer doctor. Didn't seem well supported by his office. Will go to the James now that he has left.
Dr. Giammar is a fixture at Grant. He is always available and helpful. Disappointing that he is leaving. Seemed well liked by the staff. Would recommend.
Passionate about his patients and will do anything for them. Perhaps a new practice will make him more accessible.
Dr. Giammar always made an emotional connection no matter what. He used novel ways to communicate and explain what was going. My experience with him is memorable for the way he made me feel and I hope he stays in medicine. I was shocked to get a letter because he was so devoted to his patients.
I have travelled over an hour away to see Dr. Giammar. He is worth it. Would drive anywhere in Ohio to see him; perhaps he will relocate closer.
Excellent. I'm cured! Will look for his new practice in central Ohio.
Dr. Giammar took fantastic care of me. He will be missed.
Heard that Dr. Giammar was leaving practice. He is the best!!! I hope that he returns to Columbus soon.
I have been seeing Dr. Giammar for yearly after my cancer diagnosis. His support, expertise and surgical skill were first rate. He even arranged for second opinions so that I felt comfortable and prepared. To beat cancer, you need the best team and an experienced surgeon. It seems that his practice is undergoing changes, but I would recommend Dr. Giammar.
Dr. Giammar is a good listener. He made me feel as though he cares about me. He wanted to know about my experience and how things could be improved. How often does a surgeon or any specialist ask about that?
Highly recommend. Despite being very busy, the doctor spent extra time with me and made multiple phone calls to communicate with other specialists. He even took the time to schedule my surgery himself. Very thorough and diligent. I felt he cared a lot about me and my outcome proves that.
My family doctor has been trying to get a screening colonoscopy for years and it was not at the top of my list of things to do. Dr. Giammar made it a non event. There was no pain and the anesthetic was quick and easy. The colon cleansing wasn't as bad as I've heard as I just drank a sport drink. For something that has to be done, I would recommend Dr. Giammar for making the experience pretty unmemorable. He explained everything and checked on me after the procedure. Also, it was all covered by insurance for prevention.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Giammar. He is dedicated and devoted to all of his patients. He took extra time to see me in the middle of the night and make sure everything was OK. His rapport with the nursing staff is excellent and he spends lots of time communicating so that his patients get extra attention. He made sure all of my family's questions were answered before I went home. While he is a top surgeon and difficult to get an appointment, he is not at all pretentious and quite approachable.
Dr. Giammar spent lots of time with our family and gave us the information we needed to make important decisions. He went the extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable and got the staff to get us everything we needed.
I trust Dr. Giammar. Would recommend- have sent friends and family.
Prompt, courteous with good bedside manner. My family referred me and I trust his opinion.
Knowledgeable. Seems to care a lot. Very busy but spent time with me.
I was seen in the emergency room and Dr. Giammar helped put me at ease. Communicated well with the hospital staff, took care of my paperwork and sent me home with supplies. I felt well care for and educated as to what happened to me. His service and skill were great.
Skilled and caring. Helped put me at ease and avoid surgery. Spent a great deal of time with my family. Communicated well staff. Older than pictured.
I saw Dr. Giammar while my doctor was on maternity leave, and I have never been so disrespected in my life. He forgot to inform nurses of things he said he would, he came in to see me and then mocked me for having questions, then complained that I was taking up his time when he had a patient waiting for him in surgery (except he came to see me while I was in the hospital; I didn't request him). I would absolutely never recommend him to anyone.
I would not recommend Dr. Giammar to anyone. He will "release" you as a patient once things get too difficult for him and considers your case high risk. Not only did he leave me high and dry, but someone else I know who had the same problems. He dropped "released" her from his care as well. What a cowardly thing to do!
