Dr. Hotchkin graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He later completed his residency and became Chief Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Hotchkin finished his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine also at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals. He currently focuses on Interstitial Lung Diseases, including Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), acute respiratory failure, critical care medicine, exercise physiology and other needs at The Oregon Clinic, Pulmonary, Critical …Care and Sleep Medicine division. Dr. Hotchkin brings the clinic several honors and awards including the Resident Excellence in Teaching Award. He was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Hotchkin is a member of several organizations including the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Thoracic Society.

Dr Hotchkin is one of the best doctors I've been to. He takes time to listen, ask questions, and is always prepared with info about former visits or tests. He smart and skilled and usually answers all my questions before I can ask them. He asks several times if I have any more questions. He suggested the most non-invasive treatment, explaining exactly what would happen, and it was successful. He also told me to call him if it wasn't, and we could try the next thing. He never seems rushed or hurried, and only when he's satisfied you have all the information you need, he turns to the computer to write a brief report, still talking with you as he types. He makes you feel heard and I leave wishing I could come to him for everything.

Dr. Hachkin is always pleasant and cheerful when he comes in. He explains things so I understand what he means.

DR HOTCHKINS PROMPT ATTENTION TO MY CASE SAVED MY LIFE. HE WORKED ME INTO A BUSY SCHEDULE, RAN TESTS, AND RECOMMENDED ME TO A THORACIC SURGEON, ALL IN A TIMELY MANNER.I I COULD NOT ASK FOR BETTER CARE.

Dr Hotchkin saved my life.Recognizing the critical signs that were developing Dr Hotchkin did not waste time but escalated the medical situation to ICU and now continues to follow up with multiple specialists to insure a complete and successful recovery

Dr. Hotchkin ran over $2,000 worth of tests without bothering to explain (until months later) that they were unnecessary & that according to my x-rays, I never should have been referred to him in the first place. He is out to make money under the guise of "cautious" testing. Beware.
