I went to this so called doctor for a cortisone shot in my back. I was sent to him by another doctor. A few months before this I has a cortisone shot by a different doctor and he explained the whole procedure to me, I was nervous but comfortable. It went very smooth, so when I go to this so called doctor I felt nervous but thought I knew what to expect. Well when he started the procedure he didn't explain to me anything like the other doctor I went to before. During this procedure my whole leg went up in the air and my body felt was in total shock. I screamed so loud I thought my husband would of heard me in the waiting room. I I started crying, he said okay sweetie were done. Instead of letting me lay there until I calmed down the tech said I'll help you up. My leg was numb and could hardly walk. He helped me to the waiting room and my husband seen me crying. He had to help me in the car. My leg and toes were numb !! I didn't experience this with the doctor I previously went to. The next day my toes were numb and continue to be numb. I only went to this guy because of my doctor referred me to him. I didn't have a problem because the doctor I went to is excellent. To this day I have anxiety attacks thinking about what he did to me. I don't take pain meds and didn't even know he was a pain management doc until I read all these reviews. I thought he only did procedures. Please take my advice and keep away from this man. Because of him I would never have a cortisone procedure again. Just the thought I panic. I would bring my dog to him.
First off I would like to start saying that I ended up seeing this so called doctor due to a injury at work. The first day I went to see him, the waiting time was over 2 hours. When he came in the room he was in a very bad mood and kept interrupting me and rushing the conversation. I actually wrote down all my symptoms so I did not forget to tell him. When he started rushing I said to him " Please, I just want to discuss my condition" he said " I don't have time, I already know what you have, here is the treatment options for you", I did not feel comfortable with his answer. He was extremely rude and the worse bed side manners. When I left his office I decided to do some research about Kloth, I am in the medical field and asked some of my co-workers about him. Well let me start by saying that this guy was actually banned from the hospital because he decided to do a tantrum and threw all the medical instruments right before a procedure, this is exactly why he only does the procedures at his office with only valium. His first ex-wife filed a restraining order against him due to verbal and physical abuse ( feel free to check court records available in the internet). So when I came across this website and saw he abuses PT'S it all made sense. He is an abusive person towards his staff, and patients. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR, YOU DESERVE TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND COMPASSION. WHEN THEY BECOME DOCTORS THE TAKE AN OATH " DO NO HARM" HE DOES EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE. STAY AWAY. REPORT HIM. DON'T LET ANYONE MISTREAT YOU. YOU HAVE VALUE AND NEED RESPECT.
It was my worse experience. He is the rudest doctor I have ever encounter. I was a new Patient, after waiting 2 and a half hours for my appt, he came in the room with an attitude refusing to listen to my condition. I told him I was in pain and needed to have a plan of treatment. He proceeded to say " you are fat, that's probably the reason of your pain, I can't do magic". I started crying and left his office. I will not be returning. I came across this website, I wish I did before. All the bad reviews are true. Stay away from this Doctor, he is a MONSTER.
i have been seeing Dr Kloth for 9 years and had no complaints until now. I was prescribed oxycodone 10 mg for my pain and for the time being have no insurance and went to my appointment last month which costs me 85.00 per visit and was refused my oxycodone 10mg that i have been on for the last 9 months. no explanation and this not ethical-if he was a true medical doctor he should know that anyone needs to be weaned off not just abruptly taken off this and go thru horrible withdrawls - i do not recommend him as a pain management doctor and not a very nice man in my opinion.
I am a 42 y/o female who went to see this doctor. He is the worse doctor I have ever seen, has a very bad temper, horrible bed side manners, looks burnt out,mad and miserable, yells at his staff, and patients and refuses to answer questions about conditions, even though the wait time to see him is above 3 hours. I have left this practice in tears because he verbally abused me just because I had questions about my condition, and I don't take any prescribed medications from any drs. PLEASE STAY AWAY!.
I have seen this dr disrespect his staff and patients, mostly woman and kids. The wait is above 3 hours everytime. He is always in a very bad mood and does not care about what you have to say about. WILL NOT RETURNING. He has the worst bed side manners.
First off I want to apologize for my very LENGTHY review....saw Dr. KLOTH for a few years, during that time he was emotionally abusive with the worst bedside manner, I didn't even think that was allowed by the Oath Dr's took to treat patients the way he was treating me. He for example would poke fun at my weight which I was already self conscious and depressed over as it was the medication Lyrica that made me gain 50 lbs in the first 2 months of usage and 30 more within the year so involuntarily 80lbs that there was nothing I could do about, but he had plenty to say about! also I believe was over injecting me with the steroids, I told him I had a prednisone problem where it would blow me up like a blowfish so I needed to go easy on the steroid dosages but instead every time I left after numerous injections that he said I needed even though they weren't relieving me I seemed to just keep blowing up more and more and no matter what I did and dieted each injection would get worse and he would turn around and mock me and say I'm sabotaging my recovery by gaining weight!! He tried to fix a pinched nerve that was in my thigh which felt like a severe bruise deep tissue but I had no feeling in the top layer of the skin in my thigh by putting more injections directly into my my thigh muscle deeply which hurt badly and tried this a few sessions to no avail, but made my leg blow up. Later on ( 2yrs after sufferring with this) with a new dr he corrected this problem by fixing the pinched nerve causing this that was actually in my mid groin area after two shots! I couldn't believe I regained feeling and was pain free there after so long! Also Kloth did RFA down my back with left me in the worst pain ever, felt like I had the worst form of sunburn possible on top of excruciating pain covering my entire lower back! I had to go out on FMLA which didn't mention the bad procedure just the chronic pain and that i was 75-90or95% disabled at the time, everything else but the procedure , and he wouldnt sign forms for short term disability assumming that means he would have to include the procedure which is why i was disabled, hhmm does that mean that something wrong??? (I'm not accussing). He wouldn't talk to me about it but I did my "research"....all i will say is this routine procedure ended up leaving me; 6 months unable to sit or lay on my side and back lightly and be able to wear ANYTHING with a waist band. Hardly could leave the house bc it meant putting on say an oversized sundress but I still couldn't withstand the bumps and sitting against the backside of the carseat. I was driven everywhere. Imagine only being able to lay on your stomach for that long and how much more pain that caused my back! Needless to say after FMLA was up I wasn't well enough to go back and he wrote a letter saying I could only be on light duty and sit the whole time. So I lost my job and got unemployment (at least this was back when unemployment was generous and I was on it for well over a year bc I needed it) but I kept questioning about why that happened and he said I signed the papers before he did the procedure and that it was a super duper rare condition and I kept asking to.see those papers and he said I don't have the time I will next appointment and that happened everytime. I wouldn't give up asking and I wasn't bringing in money by letting him inject me, can't remember if I ever let him inject me again after that or not honestly, then out of the blue after years he had me do an in house drug test and somehow it came up "clean"...got the discharge letter two weeks later, with 2 weeks of medication left and no clue what to do as they wouldn't even take my calls to advise me on what a discharged patient with 2 weeks left of meds was to to. They took 1 call & said go to the ER and never call back again. Requested that ua test and never got it! I know i had my meds in my system! It didn't even come with my entire huge pile of paper work that I requested to get a new dr. And while scrolling thru it there were lies everywhere and things missing!
He is the worst doctor I have ever seen, I left the office in tears. He said he didn't want to waste his precious time treating me and my chronic pain condition. He didn't even want to hear what my problem was. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. He doesn't even deserve one star.
An Excellent Doctor who is intelligent, straightforward and capable of improving quality of life.
Dr. Kloth is an amazing doctor and person. Treats patients with dignity and respect. And will search until he finds a way that will help each individual person. He has a great personality and is very fun. I highly recommend him.
Many pain patients have psychological issues (i.e., they may experience pain, but it is in their head); others are drug-seeking. This is a very difficult class of patients to treat. Nevertheless, Dr. Kloth is a very good doctor. He is very matter-of-fact and honest. I can understand that some patients find him brusque. But I'll take a good doctor like him any day.
Sometimes there is a wait at Dr. Kloth's office but that is because he sees each and every patient himself and he takes the time to give the best medical advice possible that is individual to you and your experience. Both my husband and I go there. He makes sure we understand the various treatments options so we can make the best educated decisions. He does not advocate taking pills and maybe that is why there are some bad reviews. I assume people who are pill poppers will not like this legitimate doctor and his services.
He is the best. I would not go to any other dr!
Dr. Kloth is one of the best drs for pain management and sometimes you do have to wait but I'd rather wait to get the right diagnosis than be in pain. His bedside manner can be abrasive at times but he has to protect his practice and licence when it comes to pain medication.
DR Kloth accurately diagnosed my condition and took the time to explain the procedure. After the procedure the follow up care was excellent and I am well on my way to being pain free
Dr. Kloth has been helpful to me over the years....waits in his office are lengthy but this is the result of the fact that he spends time with his patients rather than dashing in and out chasing insurance payments.
The staff has no idea what the other is doing. Lack of communication no origination. And u let patients leave with no chaperon after a procedure why tell us to bring one. Smells like law suite In the future you don't get it together.
I agree with other comments that there is sometimes a long wait for your appointment but that is because Dr. Kloth always takes the time necessary with each patient, even when he is busy or behind schedule. He is very knowledgeable about new technologies. I'm glad I found him and only regret not finding him sooner. His staff is also very good, but they are not always in-sync with each other especially on payment terms and schedules. They are however nice people, especially his assistant during procedures. She is definitely a 5 .
I have been a patient for over 12 years. This Dr is a MONSTER.He is abusive to patients and also to his staff in front of patients.I have had procedures that helped somewhat, but the abuse and humiliation while getting them is not worth it.While laying down with a needle in my spine I have been to to stop being such a baby, and then to the nurse..make sre you give him some tampons when he leaves. If you question him at all he will fly into a rage ,belittle you and threaten to stop your medications. He clearly has a God complex and enjoys treating people like crap. When you talk to other patients in waiting room everyone is hoping he will be in a good mood.the average wait is an hour and a half but if you show up more than 20 minutes late you will not get your medicine and will have to reshedule for following week and will be charged 50 dollars for a missed appt before you will be seen again. His staff is terrified of him.Icould go on znd on.suffice it to say...Dont even think about it.you will regret it the rest of your life.too bad there are not negative stars he would be a 5
Dr Kloth has always been kind to me, he's not perfect but who is? His staff is great. I had a period where I lost my insurance and Dr. Kloth gave me a huge discount and didn't charge me for everything he did. If you want a friend get a dog, he's helped me.
You have no idea what you are rambling about chill out. For you to say it was provoked by the patient you are trully on something. You know nothing about me and obviously you never questioned your treatment or had dr kloth screw up on you. When a hospital questions surgical staff and agrees what happened was not right you claim the patient is at fault. Please stick to the facts of your own case and dont comment on what you dont have a clue about. If more people take the time to write review I think you would know you were the lucky one and yes I am speaking from knowing others that have went to him. That is lovely he helped you, I think that is wonderful but he didn't help me and did more damage. He was a true MONSTER to me and I have a right to ecpress my experience.
always has treated me with competence, intelligence and caring. glad I have been going to him.
Really, some of you people need to chill out. I have been a patient of Dr Kloth for 15 years and he saved my life. I was in constant chronic pain to the point of not being able to walk properly, multiple back/hip/knee problems, and a few others - and it was severely degrading my quality of life. I have multiple orthopedic problems - several have been addressed by various orthopedic doctors, some messed up, some good, others just can't be addressed. Contrary to what I was hoping for way back, I found out that there is no "magic cure" and I have accepted that I need to live with my pain. But with a pain management program, as administered by Dr. Kloth, my life is manageable and my pain, although not 100% gone, is very manageable, and I thank Dr Kloth for that. But with chronic pain it's an ongoing treatment, no magic cure and then you are out! You need to work together on a long-reaching plan. I am really appalled by some of the negative reviews here. Yes, Dr. Kloth can be abrupt at times, but it's usually when my wife asks him some stupid question. He also works LONG hours and sees a LOT of patients besides making hospital visits. When I was in Danbury Hospital on 3 occasions for Orthopedic surgery, he was there. He administered my pain management needs and made bedside visits. He is a conscientious and caring individual and tries his hardest to help you. He is also very gifted, a smart man, who knows his stuff. If you are afraid of getting "yelled" at, or treated rudely, that is ridiculous! And if you do, it's probably because YOU invoked it, not him! You should try for yourself before you take the negative reviews here to heart. I guarantee, you will be as impressed with Dr. Kloth as I am, and on your way to a more manageable way of living with chronic pain. Remember, the "nice" guy is not always the "best" guy and that is true for a LOT of doctors.
I feel I am very fortunate to have been referred to DR. Kloth in 2005 when my back problems started. My back is my life. It is how I pay my bills and a big part of how I spend my leisure time. I was in unbearable pain and unable to work and the fact that I am self employed made traditional surgery a poor option for me. Fortunately Dr Kloth took the time to listen to me and understand my circumstances and did not try to suggest a cookie cutter or one size fits all treatment for me as another doctor had. He offered a treatment plan suited to my needs and I am happy to say that I have been pain free and medication free since 2005 and only have to see him for follow up treatments about every 2 years , usually a result of my own foolishness. Yes, I realize that the current fix won't work forever but in the mean time I still have my business and am able to work and play almost as well as i could 9 years ago. When the time comes for the next step I am confident and comfortable in knowing that Dr. Kloth will , once again, make the right recommendation for me
I have never encountered such a monster in all my life. Had I read these reviews sooner I would of never of gone to this man. After encountering his abusive first hand I had to see what kind of reviews were out there and what a surprise I found the same kind of abuse I had experienced. Listen I always take reviews with a grain of salt you never know the circumstance but PLEASE do not go to this monster. No one should go through what I experienced. If you ever question him or call him out on his mistakes you will experience his madness. I to at first liked this doctor but I will admit I was fooled. He is not worth the risk. There are so many competent doctors. Dont risk you health.
I googled Dr. Kloth to obtain his current telephone number and address in order to recommend him to a friend. The reviews were so negative that it seemed like it was based on a totally different person from whom I took my father-in-law to around 17 years ago. My sister in law had taken him to a doctor who said the pain he was having was from his lower back and subscribed cortisone injections. After taking 3 from another anesthesiologist, she booked the 4th with Dr. Kloth due to appointment availability. It was an early morning visit so there was no waiting, he asked where the pain was and if he had any allergies. He showed him how the pain was on his lower back and down his leg and that lately he seemed to be developing allergies to a lot of foods. The Doctor than explained that he was going to give him only 1/2 of the dose because he might be allergic to the injection because it releases slowly into the body & maximum release was 14 days after, he advised us to pick up benadryl on the way home and to take it in case he developed any swelling signs again. He also said that he didn't think that this injection would help just like the others because it seemed like what he needed was a hip replacement and recommended an excellent surgeon's name. He was very courteous, very respectful and took the time to explain everything so that I could translate. The benadryl worked and all the foods he thought he was allergic to never gave him any reaction after that. I took him to the surgeon and that is what was wrong, he had the surgery and was free of pain. So as you see my father-in-law could have been taking those injections for ever and his pain would still be there. If all he wanted was money he could have told him to come back for more injections and he would still be in pain. It seems that he might have more patients now which would result in the longer wait time and less attention time. But most of the doctors you go to these days are in a hurry and have longer wait times than used to be.
I honestly do not understand the reviews from others that say Dr. Kloth is "abusive" and "arrogant". He has never been anything but respectful and helpful to me. I think some are confusing his "confident" nature with arrogance. I have been in chronic pain for 40 years. I have had 8 surgeries. I was referred to Dr. Kloth 2 months ago. He has gone about finding the root to my pain by methodical and logical means. He takes time and listens to me . He is helping me immensely ; more than anyone else in these past 40 years. Other doctors were all too eager to either operate on me and/or give me pills. I am not a pill taker and I am sick and tired of surgeries. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kloth. Any downsides? Yes, the wait in the office to see him is extremely long. Make your trip there the focus for your day.
Although you have to wait sometimes quite awhile for them to call your name to see Dr. Kloth the qualiity of care he takes with you is evidence that he is not only knowledgeable in his field but that he cares... just because he us cautious about DSI's doesn't mean you can write on these message boards that he is not a great doctor. That it is your problem and has nothing to do with his and his staffs qaulity of care. They have done nothing but reduce my pain helping me with workers compensation and all with a smile...even after a loooong day. Thank You to all of them.
First of all I'd like to say I have never written a review in my life. In my humble opinion people tend to write reviews when they are mad and not when happy. I was searching for Dr. Kloth's number to cancel a visit when I found this site. If you are in bad pain like I am a good doctor will save your life/ sanity. It seems like people love the guy or hate him, I think he is a decent Dr. I wouldn't give him 5 stars and I wouldn't give him one. I've been seeing him since 07 so I feel I can give an informed review. Like the others have said he is blunt, tell it like it is kind of person. This might come off as rude or mean but it's just his personality. Like others I have heard him yell at patients in other rooms, this is unacceptable and very unprofessional. If I did that at my job I'd be fired but I guess that's one of the good things about owning your own business. The times I've heard him yell were years ago, he's definitely mellowed out in the last two or so years. That being said he is 99% nice, caring and understanding with me. I would call all the negative reviewers liars if I haven't heared the yelling myself. Let's say I've seen DR. Kloth 100 times since 07. He has been a gentleman, nice and very helpful 99 out of those 100 times. I said I would be honest and I must say that one time he raised his voice to me years ago when I disagreed with him. It shook me up a little being treated like that but I decided to give him another chance due to me not wanting to go thru the all the hassle to find another DR. I'm glad I did because he has helped me with my pain more than any other DR. has. He will rx you just enough medication to help with your injury and not one pill more. Un till you have been over medicated like I have in the past you won't understand why this is a good thing. If you get meds he is very strict as he should be. You will be drug tested every couple of months and he will never give you an early refill. It's his dance and he controls the music. Maybe some of the posters are drug seekers or have failed his tests? Due to my job I have to schedule appointments early in the day and have never had to wait hours like others on here. Maybe the key is to book early? I'd recommend DR. Kloth to someone who is willing to follow his directions to the tee and not feel the need to argue or suggest your own treatment plan. I tend to be all business with things like DR appointments so maybe that's why I like him. I like DR. Kloth but I can see why some don't, he's not a monster like some of these reviews. Being in constant pain is the worst thing that has ever happened to me and Dr Kloth has helped, that's as honest as I can be. I took the time to write this because I feel for chronic pain patients. I never would have guessed how bad life could be until my accident witch put me in constant pain. I'd hate for someone to not get help due to these bad reviews.
I would be wary of all the five star reviews. According to this site he's either the devil or a pain management god. From experience I'd say it's right in the middle or leaning more to the devil side to be honest. He talks fast, he yells and likes to cut you off. He's never yelled at me but that's because I'm scared of him, honest. Every doctor in Danbury and around has heard the horror stories from his patients.I think these 5 star reviews are either people working for him or patients who don't want him to go out of business. I feel if he didn't write narcotic scripts he would go out of business. I guess it's up to each patient to make up his/her mind on him. The only suggestion I have for a new patient is to have a very thick skin, like the poster below me I have heard him scream at patients while waiting for him.I'm moving to another state in six months but if I wasn't I'd find a new doctor.
I do not normally participate in reviews, but I felt obligated to let other people know NOT to schedule with this Dr. I have never had a more painful and traumatic experience in my life. The first clue should have been listening to his scream and yell at a patient next door to the room I was in. I felt so bad for that lady. I was there for a discography, but he talked me into a facet block procedure instead. Even though, I did not think it was a logical thing to do (I didn't want a temporary fix, I wanted to be without pain period). I waited over 2.5 hours just to get in for the procedure. He then put me through unbearable pain, rushed through the procedure, no pain meds allowed. He told me to stop taking a certain medication, just stop. I did and ended up in such severe withdrawals I almost went to the ER. His policy on Rx refills was ridiculous. His office charges $15 for every Rx refill and you have to make an appt. Another 2 hours out of your day just for a 2 minute Rx refill (no call in). After this, I discussed with other nurses & doctors my experience and found that they try not to refer patients to Dr. Kloth as he has a horrible bed side manner and the most complaints they receive are about him. Every patient that I've met in the waiting room is dissatisfied. The wait, appts being made when the dr isn't even there. Please, seek another pain management doctor. I'd hate to think of anyone going through the horror that I went through. I have not been able to see a Dr since, not even my dentist. I'm currently trying to break out of this and learn to trust a doctor again as my life is still filled with horrible back pain.
I have been seeing Dr. Kloth for over 5 yrs. I had no insurance at the time and he was the ONLY Dr. who would even talk to me. To be seen I had to get an MRI done and had to pay for it in cash. I called the MRI place and was told it would be $3500 with no insurance. I told DR. Kloth the price and he got on the phone with the MRI place and told them he would stop sending his patients there if they didn't give me a cash discount. Before DR Kloth called them they told me that was the lowest price they could charge and couldn't do anything about it. After Dr. Kloth called they only charged me $1000.That's why people on here say he will fight for you because he has for so many. I feel that he is on my side and actually cares about me. He's not perfect and can be blunt but that's fine with me, I'm not looking for a friend. He get's me in and out very fast, how many DR's can you say that about? My life has changed for the better do to seeing Dr. Kloth.I would suggest seeing him if your life is badly effected by your pain.
I have been going to Dr. David Kloth for 4 years and am shocked and appalled by the negative comments made about him. They were hostile, derogatory and deliberately insulting and misleading. I know him to be a fine, caring and knowledgeable doctor (who, IMHO, is brilliant). He has helped me so much with my back pain that I now have some semblance of my life back. He answers all my questions (and I question everything) even if I have asked the same question before. Dr. Kloth and his staff go out of their way to schedule my appointments so as to accommodate my limitations. They make it as pain free for me to see him as humanly possible. I donât ever expect to be totally pain free but in my opinion Dr. Kloth has performed miracles. To quote another Poster, âDr. Kloth & his staff are more than my medical care team; they are my guardian angels.â
Sadly, doctor review sites have become a Pandora's Box for disgruntled pain management patients (particularly when pain medications have not been prescribed). One study showed that dissatisfied consumers are 3 times more likely to leave a review than satisfied customers. This is likely due to the cathartic feeling many abusers of pain medications may feel after bashing a physician who will not write a prescription.
I'm a new patient to Dr.Kloth. I really was hesitant to see him because of all the negative comments and reviews, but one of his former colleges sent me to him because he thought I would get the best results with him. Dr. Kloth was very straight forward with me, he performed 3 different procedures on me in 4 months. Skilled and professional at all times. I'm finally starting to feel some hope about my future quality of life. At every visit he listens to me and answers my questions. He prescribes medications that are required not wanted! It's crucial to follow your aftercare plan to obtain the best results. I also am a health care provider and know that waiting to be seen is frustrating sometimes , but I'm okay with it cause I know I will have the time I need. Take a look around you in that office everyone is in pain. I would rather wait to see him every time verses a P.A. or A.P.R.N. ! His staff for the most part do a good job.. there are a few who need to get back to basics i.e., introduce yourself to patients , make eye contact when speaking to patients, not dicuss their personal problems with patients and returning phone calls of a serious nature A.S.A.P. But it's only couple...not the all. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kloth to someone who suffered with chronic pain! No worries
nothing like waiting an hour to see his pa to get my fix, guess he realized the more people u see the more $$ u make, he must have some house
I have been going to Dr.Kloths sense 2006, and if it wasn't for him I would not be walking or having a life after my slip an fall. The staff are wonder to work with an helpful. If anyone gives this doctor a bad review its because they must abused there meds or did follow his instructions. Dr.Kloth is a wonder doctor an I have sent family an friends to Dr. Kloth so that he can help them as well. HE CAN HELP YOU !!!!! Give him a call. He knows what to do for YOU!
Dr. Kloth and his entire staff have been Courteous, Professional, and Respectful towards not only me but, my family members as well! For over 3 years, he has provided me with the absolute best care, treating me for my injuries and has made it possible for me to function to the best of my ability. Although I am not able to return to my previous type of work, that is not Dr. Kloth's doing! After my accident, of the injuries that Dr. Kloth treated me for, I suffered from torn and bulged lower back discs and elbow nerve damage, as well as R.S.D. of the hand and feet. He has made me feel comfortable and helped return me to a more normal lifestyle. I am sure if not for Dr. Kloth, I would still be suffering well beyond my current condition! Anyone who has, or intends to, rate Dr. Kloth negatively is horribly wrong! He truly cares about each and every patient! I trust and highly recommend Dr. Kloth!
I work in construction. I abuse my body every day and now pay for it. I have a herniated disc in my back and went through months of physical therapy ordered by another doc to no relief. I made an appt per the other doc to see Dr.Kloth. Dr.Kloth is very informative. He let me know from the first appt what it would take to make the pain better. Im afraid of needles but have to say it was not as bad as I had invisioned. His staff made me very confortable and it was done very quickly. With hours the pain was leaving and he controlled it in one procedure. I wouldnt hesitate to do it again if I need one in the future. Im back enjoying life thanks to Dr.David Kloth.
I know Dr Kloth to be someone who is very professional and patient. I wish I could say the same for some of the patients in the waiting room. Why do you think on some days it does take long to get in and out of the office ? Because he is very good at what he does, I would not want him to rush me in and out I would want him to listen to what my problem is and find a way to take the pain away, and not by just giving me a pill and have me live my life half out of it from pain meds.I know him to be honest , dedicated and hard working. My most recent visit was for pinched nerves in the neck from arthritis long after neck fusion some thirteen years ago the pain was like an ice pick in the base of the spine causing severe headaches but recommended neck shots not pills and after two treatments at the surgical center the pain was mostly gone. Dr Kloth is always interested in how I am doing and and if I ever need him, do not hesitate to call on him, he has always had my best interest in mind and told me if I can not help you I will find someone who can. Most of us who have pain know that would probably mean more serious surgery he does everything in his power to keep us out of surgery. I would highly reccomend Dr Kloth to anyone who is suffering from pain, unless you are just looking for pain pills if so he is not your Doctor.
Dr. Kloth is an excellent doctor. He was able to diagnose my condition where others had failed and provided excellent treatment. His staff is amazing. I've never met a more caring group of individuals. He is very strict with medications but I understand it's a safety issue. I have to imagine it would be easier to give patients whatever they want than to fight with them about taking their medications appropriately. I would reccomend this doctor to my friends and family.
This is one of the best doctors I have ever been to. The thing that impressed me most about Dr. Kloth was that he was able to provide me with an accurate diagnosis of my condition and then treated me accordingly while eliminating the need for surgery (which had been recommended by the orthopedic surgeon I had previously visited). Sure I had to wait a little while for my appointment but once I was inside I received quality and compassionate care by both Dr. Kloth and his staff. Dr. Kloth is a true expert in his field. If you want to avoid having unnecessary surgery this is the best doctor to come to get that "second opinion" from.
After a major spinal fusion at T12-L1 by a highly ranked surgeon, many infra-spinal steroidal injections by different referred-to Drs., and another major surgery from S1 thru L4 with X-Stop implantation at L3, by another highly-rated surgeon in CT., my pain radiating down the right S-I area straight to the top of the right foot made standing for more than 2 min or walking for more than 30ft excruciating. The many meds I was on were awful and I knew that long-term use had to be eating up my kidneys, liver, or both. Finally was referred to Dr. Kloth by my last surgeon after many failed spinal injections by other pain management specialists. Before I even got to see Dr. Kloth, I was impressed by the friendliness and the morale that seemed to permeate the office staff. Once I met Dr. Kloth, I found him to be warm, concerned, certainly an expert in his field, and very willing and eager to work in concert with my referring physician to find the best treatment plan for me. We sched. an injection at the suspected culprit point at the L-5 facet. Immediately, he hit the spot! It was so obvious (because of the intense pain), but I was delighted that finally SOMEONE had actually found the spot! And he found it on the first hit, effortlessly! That 1 shot was supposed to be primarily for diagnosis only, and to last for 4-6 hours. It lasted for over the 2 weeks until my follow-up appt., when I was still feeling at least 75% better than I had in YEARS! He conferred with my surgeon and they decided to go minimally invasive, which is Dr. Kloth's style --the less surgery the better! So I had injections in 2 spots this time, and have been practically pain free since. Also important to read here is that I have received nothing but excellent and compassionate treatment from both Dr. Kloth himself and his staff! I can't account for others' experiences as listed here, so I can't discount them. What I do know is this: I couldn't have been treated and cared for better, anywhere. I can walk again. I can stand, to cook, do tasks that were impossible for me until now, and pick up my grandchildren and hold in my arms. I'd say I got a great deal!
The poster below me is mad because she got caught dr shopping wich is a FELONY.Of course he would be mad, that tends to happen when people try to scam someone.Dr Kloth has saved my sanity by rx'ing just enough meds to keep the pain down.If you're a junkie you will not like him.If you have a real injury then he will treat you.He is blunt at times but you don't have to wait 45 minutes just to see him.He is kind and willing to fight for you as long as you follow his rules. His staff is great and I have never had any problems.I even recommended that my mother go see him, that should tell you something.
I was sent to Dr. Kloth when all other treatments failed for two bulges in my back. All treatment failed: scheduled orthopedic appointments or the ER, and I was told pain was my only option. Dr Kloth felt that was unacceptable. He told me two treatments would work and of course he was right. I entered his care on two canes and left pain -free. My back hasn't caused me pain in over ten years. I cannot thank him enough.
He does have a temper.But... he's changed, he seems much nicer now, I think his wallet is being hurt by his attitude. The wait time is also great..the longest I've waited in the last year is ten minutes. His staff are great and have never screwed up my meds. These comments are all 100% true but give the "new" dr kloth a chance. He also accepts people with no insurance as long as they are looking for a job so the all about money thing is NOT true.No dr's would even see me with no insurance. He's not perfect but I feel the positives out weigh the negatives.
The people who complain about him are the same one's he throws out of the office when he figures out they are drug addicts.
he is ONLY concerned about the money! he charged me for a visit where the machine broke down and didnt tell me he couldnt do the procedure before i drove 1 hour to his office with him telling me sorry we cant do the procedure today! then i get a bill for a procedure that i did not want to do with him and he charged me $250.00 for a no-show visit even though i showed aup but then refused treatment! i highly do not recommend him to anyone!
Condescending does not begin to describe Dr. Kloth. The first 2 visits were great (aside from the ridiculous wait), and he was direct, but nice. HOWEVER, the third visit, forget it. His true colors showed. His ego (which I always knew was there) is just too, too big. It is all about him, and God forbid you try to have a conversation that might show he doesnt know everything in the world. Watch out, because you will be yelled at, talked down, and treated like a child. He will view what you have to say as arguing, because his ego cant take being wrong. Even if you treaded lightly, like I did, he still cant handle it like a professional. If you want to be belittled, then this is the doctor for you. The man was not even fazed when I cried because of how poorly he treated me. BEWARE!
My stranded line I go there with my sunglasses on and leave with my head lights on. When you finally get in to see him he just throws scripts at you. No one on one care at all. Arrogant self centered individual
He is the most arrogant, rude doctor I've had the displeasure to meet. He screams and yells at his patients, he even swore at me. If you want compassionate care, DO NOT go to this poor excuse of a doctor.
dr kloth has always been fair to me.He is not all about money, I know this due to reasons I do not wish to discuss here.He does have a temper, not sure why but he is no devil like all these people say.
Who do you call about this man? I am happy I told my doctor and he got me out of there! He screams obscenities at his staff and his patients. It's very disturbing and something is very wrong with him. He is abusive! During one of my many waits at his office I have witnessed him having tantrums, his nurse in tears and other patients crying. I would neverr recommend this physician to anyone. He needs his license taken away and that practice shut down! I don't know how anyone works for him or stays his patient.
This dr kloth should not be allowed to practice medicine. When hes not taking his power naps with a room full of patients hes abusing them. He lies to insurance companiesabout procedures. he s verbally abusive. I was getting a facet block and right before he injected me with the needles he roughly jabbed me in the back. then he did an epidural,he never did a pre op or post op it lasted five days and i had weened off the percocet. He lied about my pain to my insurance co, and when the case manager doctor left him three messages to return her call he refused. I ended up in the emergency dept after suffering three weeks in excruciating pain.he should have his licence revilked. DO NOT ALLOW THIS MAN TO TREAT YOU. its a very big mistake.
Not sure why people still get abused and treated like dirt by this guy when just a simple google search will show MANY other and better places.Dr Kloth has yelled at me, called me a liar cuz I said a medication was upsetting my stomach ect ect ect. Dr Kloth is a pain managemnt dr that doesn't want to talk about your pain, just what procedures your insurance will cover.I went to him for two horrible years then I just had enough and found a way better dr in the same city.I'm not a mean spirited person but I honestly hope this dr one day gets a good dose of his own medicine.
Dr. kloth is very arrogant and dismissive.I was a pt.of his long enough to get to know him, and the last time I was at his office he got angry because he felt that I should listen only to him and have no other doctors opinions as far as my care is concerned. He unleashed a verbal barrage on me, not giving me a chance to say Anything.I got up and walked out of his office. No one, deserves to be spoken to like that. Especially by a person who is supposed to be a fellow professional.I now have another pain management doctor, and regret that I did not leave Dr. Kloths service much sooner; This was not the first time he treated me negatively; but the Last.
Dr Kloth is a scary man.He will yell at you if you disagree with him or don't want another shot.It is kreepy when he's nice cuz he's a jerk 90% of the time.Oh, and when he is nice you can tell he has to try really hard lol. So many better docs than this creep.
I have never seen human beings treated worse by a medical professional in my life. This doctor yells at his patients, their children that they bring with them, his staff, and only pretty girls get a creepy sort of decency out of him, and, unfortunately, I'm not 20 anymore, so I am going elsewhere!
Dr. Kloth is rude, uncaring, impatient, arrogant and the simply the most horrible physician I have ever worked with in 35 years......... He should be put down... don't go to him ever!!!
Strongly disagree that this doc is the best the business as well. Mr.Kloth I refuse to call him a Doctor Is to full of himself. His staff is just as bad. Rude, disrespectful, arrogant are just a few additives to describe him and his team. He and his staff will hold back medications if you don't agree to all of his recommendations. I have had three lumbar fusions, multiple injections by other physicians. I came to Mr.Kloth looking for pain management. He had a long list of possible solutions that we could try. I told him I would think about his suggestions and let him know at my next appointment. I agreed to one more injection, it failed. He wanted to try again but a more invasive procedure. I disagreed and rejected the suggestion. I was told to have the procedure. When I refused his P.A dangled the pain medication prescription in my face like you would dangle a treat to a dog. If you don't perform the trick you receive no treat. Since I was in no position for sudden withdraws I reluctantly agreed. I could not scheduled the procedure for two months due to work related commitments. When my refill was due the next month I called the required two days before. Since I had not made the appointment I was ignored and left hanging with no medication. As most are aware, if you suddenly stop taking a narcotic withdrawals are horrible and painful.Stay away from this team. They have absolutely no compassions or empathy.
Dr. Kloth has helped me so much..he has always been respectful and careing about my condition..And has given me my quality of life back..I am very greatful..
Don't even bother trying to get help from Dr. Kloth, he seems to have his own agenda. I got and injection from him which actually increased the pain and the reply from his office was " wait 2 weeks for your follow up appointment to tell the doctor". Not so much as even a follow up call. (and I left a message to please call me back).
WHILE RECEIEVING PAINFUL"TRIGGER POINT INJECTIONS" FOR A WORKERS COMP INJURY, I ASKED HOW LONG I WOULD NEED THEM. HIS RESPONSE"AS LONG AS THE INSURANCE WILL PAY..." HE IS A PIG I NEVER WENT BACK.
Before you put, or continue to put your life, in Dr. Kloth's hands, consider this; Though I feel sorry for him, because he has serious psychiatric issues, (having witnessed his treatment of patients, and firsthand, one of his actual mental breakdowns),that he still is allowed to practice medicine seriously concerns me.
After treatment, it is the first time in nearly a year that I am finally starting to feel better!! I am extremly grateful for being referred to Dr. Kloth.
Stay away if you value your dignity and self respect! This guy should have his medical license taken away!!! If you don't tell him he's a "god", he gets very verbally abusive with you and anyone you have with you at the appointment, including your children!! Chances are good, too, that you've waited more than 2 hours in his waiting room only to be verbally abused! Patients are cattle to him. He herds them to make money-that's it.
I am so lucky that I left Dr. Kloth and found a wonderful caring pain management group to care for me. Dr. Kloth blamed me for not getting better. He accused me of "wanting to have it all" - be awake, be pain free and to be able to live my life like I had in the past. With all the drugs he had put me on I was such a zombie I was narcoleptic. I had a host of related medical problems all stemming from the drugs and my pain management treatment which he denied. Finally another of my doctors referred me for testing and we found out what was happening. Even then Dr. Kloth denied that it could be caused by the medications he had me on. At that point, after he blamed me and denied his own refusal to acknowledge that there was a problem, I found a new doctor. I had been with him from his very early days in Danbury and he was very skilled back then. However, he let his ego rule his practice. He has lost many partners and office staff because of his temper. If you are considering this group, don't. If you are a patient, find another group. 2, 3 or 4 HOUR waits for the doctor have been common in the past. I don't know if he still gets that far behind but he doesn't value anyone except himself
this doctor (1) lost all my records 3 times, (2) forgot where he had injected me, so the injections had no diagnostic value, (3) yelled and screamed at me, reduced me to tears and called me names, (4) provided incorrect information regarding the physiology of the spine, and (5) loves to render diagnoses that he is not qualified to make (i.e., orthopaedic judgment calls). This is the LAST person I would expose myself to.
This guy is rude! The worst bedside manner of any doc I've ever been to!!!
After being treated by Dr. Kloth for nearly 7 years, I finally had the guts to change doctors. In that time, I have been humiliated, my child has been told to "shut up" while he was in the room with me, and I have been made to feel like I was a huge imposition the 4 times I've had to call after hours in the 7 years! Finally, I took my husband's advice and switched to another doctor. Not only has this doctor discovered the source of my pain and reduced it in just a few months, but he shows me and my family respect and compassion. I am SO GLAD that I got sick and tired of being made to feel like I was a piece of garbage and made the move! Don't waste your money and risk your self-esteem by seeing this doctor!!
I have been going to Dr. Kloth for approximately 6 years. I think he is the best Dr. that his field has to offer. He has always treated me with repect and given me the time that I needed so that I could understand what his diagnosis was or explain a procedure to me. I never seen nor heard Dr. Kloth scream or yell at any patients. Arrogant yes - but I'd rather be seeing a doctor that is arrogant as opposed to seeing one that isn't sure of himself. Thank you to Dr. Kloth and his staff for making me feel like a human being rather than just a number or a dollar sign!
I have a pain management issue that developed when I was a size 10. I got hit by an old man driving a car. I have gained weight in the past 10 years due to my inability to walk. This man would not listen to the fact that my pain was the same at size 10 as it is now. He wanted me to have weight loss surgery saying that would solve the pain.
