I have known Dr. Henderson for almost a year. It has been my experience that he has is a professional psychiatrist and brings a remarkable ministry through his private practice. It’s hard to find a psychiatrist that is comfortable to bring their Christian faith into the treatment process, however Dr. Henderson is fully aware of the benefits of integrating faith and practice. He provides a balance of extensive clinical experience with a passion for helping patients become knowledgeable and to truly understand their unique situation. He also brings a desire to know the person and develop interpersonal comfort in the doctor-patient relationship. This is sadly something so many doctors fail at miserably! His office is very inviting and provides a comfortable and professional environment. The initial evaluation is very thorough and leads to a development of treatment that best serves the patient and the situation they are in. Even when schedules are tight he has been flexible and willing to work to ensure that the proper treatment can be experienced in a timely manner. It really can't be stressed enough how much he spends time with the patient. He also follows up in a professional and welcoming manner, and it has been greatly appreciated. I'm very thankful to have known Dr. Henderson and see that faith and practice can be integrated and experienced in the psychiatrist office!

dr H was a referral out of my therapy center from my church. This is absolutely NOT a judgement or critique of them, however I would strongly discourage seeing dr. h. 1) Fees- He does not take insurance and he is simply not worth the exorbitant fee- 300 for first visit and 150 after for 1/2 hour, which for a man trying to find work after being laid off is very unmanageable. Being made aware of this, he was indifferent to using a sliding scale to help 2) Location- His office is on the 5th floor of a high rise in a busy business center. He has a very nice office with a nice view, likely why the cost 3) treatment- he refuses to even acknowledge non-pharmaceutical methods of depression treatment- he will simply say "I'm not an expert, so I have no advice in that area", when there is ample research that alternative medicine (much of it cheaper), has helped depression patients greatly 4) Mannerisms- he dialogues in long, exaggerated, condescending tones and speech 5) Other interests- he obviously has too much interest in the drug companies to keep pushing pills and he contributes to a radio show where he is also a faculty member at a college 6) Sadly, he claims to be a Christian doctor, however he actions and deeds simply do not support this.
