Summary
I had wanted to be a doctor since I was in the ninth grade. This desire to be a physician was further strengthened when I served two years as a volunteer in Sarawak (in Borneo) where I saw the native people's need for health care. My education path has taken me from Malaysia to Singapore, to the Philippines, and finally to the U.S., where Southern California has been my home for 30 years.
