Dr. David Alan Rhodes

I was referred to Dr. Rhoades by my Rheumatologist within the Integris network. She called him personally in my appointment with her to tell Dr. Rhoades what I was being referred for. I was hit by a drunk driver and had to go to OU Trauma for multiple injuries/fractures. In my appointment with Dr Rhoades, I could tell he did not look at my file or referral information before our appointment. He acted confused as to why I was there and how he could help me. I was told to bring a disc copy of my x rays to my appointment for him to look at. I handed it to the receptionist who uploaded it for him to look at. He completely blew it off and didn’t view them in my appointment? After calling the clinic several times they said he finally “reviewed” them a month later. He also told me he would NEVER remove my plate from my clavicle fracture during my appointment, which is my biggest source of pain. Since then I have had 2 Orthopedic Specialist say they take out plates all of the time. I’m… not sure if this is lack of training on Dr. Rhoades part or simply lack of caring. It is extremely frustrating as a patient to have to follow up that many times to get an answer from a clinic and from a doctor who seems to really not care one way or the other. I feel like I wasted my time and money going here. Edit to add: since leaving this review I went to see an Orthopedic Specialist at OSSO who looked at my x rays and confirmed that I do have fluid in my knees and significant cartilage damage. I also am getting my collarbone plate out next month at OU. I called the office manager and have not heard back. If you want to be treated right, I suggest going to the surgeons at OSSO.

Had a pretty nasty cross country injury that he helped me recover from. As a runner himself, he was incredibly helpful in providing his insight in regards to treatment + running techniques. He’s a great doctor.

Helped me to understand the basis of my condition and what can be done to better that condition.

Dr. Rhodes is - amazing, thorough, kind, knowledgeable, efficient, and able to deal with multiple problem areas.

Dr. Rhoades and his staff were extremely helpful. I was able to get an appointment quickly and he was very in tune to the issues I presented. He took the time to listen and and explained what was happening with my foot. I’m thankful to be on the right path for healing.

Dr. Rhodes performed knee replacement surgery on me and I am highly satisfied with the result.
