After my physician retired, he recommended Dr. Lee. I have now been Dr. Lee's patient for 5 months. Each time I pay my co pay and have never been told I had a balance. Yesterday I received a bill for $700 from his office. Due to the fact he is not Ina preferred list w my insurance, I now owe this amount. When I called my insurance and Lee's office I was told that I should have been notified by Dr. Lee's staff of this fact on my first visit. I wasn't. I left a message for the Office Manager and never heard back. I love Dr. Lee, but I am frustrated to receive this bill 5 months AFTER my last visit. If I had known they didn't accept my insurance, I wouldn't have gone in the first place.
