Dr. Dawna-Marie Townsend Fixott, MD

Dr. Fixxott diagnosed me with severe Asthma. After changing Dr's it was found I had t6-t10 radiating neuropathy.

Because of her lack of a correct diagnosis, I suffered terribly for about 4 months. It was not until I changed doctors, another family physician, that I received a correct diagnosis and was finally on the road to recovery. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Should have been fairly simple, but turned into a nightmare.

The office always smells like a dirty diaper. Dr. Fixott always seems to be in a hurry and spends very little time with you. She asks no questions, doesn't let you speak and is very vague in her explanations. She has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I've ever dealt with. A very unpleasant experience.

My experience was not good at all with Dr Fixott or the staff. Every three months i had to go back in to Dr Fixott and re-explain that i did not have insurance and was working on getting it handled. She knew this going in and said she understood my situation but would forget every three months and wanted to send me to a specialist with no insurance and no job. Every time i asked to have her call me i had to set an appointment i guess she does not talk on the phone LOL. There is more DO NOT GO

Poor bedside manners and doesn't truly listen to the patient. Outright rude and talks over the patient. Compared to many other doctors I had experience with, she is the worst and least knowledgeable. When she doesn't know what is wrong, she gives her guess and sends you home. I gave her a second chance and my initial Instinct was right. I would compare her to a box of rocks.

Very personable and to the point.She has a wonderful manner about her that eases you into being very comfortable about any problem ! I love her !

I have been a patient of Dr. Fixott's for years and even followed her when she moved her practice out on her own. I bring my entire family and tell all of my friends to come to her. Because she gives each patient the time they need and deserve, the wait time can be a little longer, but she often finds the root of the problem that much faster. She treats every person like the individual they are and not a problem or a paycheck. I am definitely a patient for life!!!

Dr. Fixott is a wonderful doctor. My whole family visits her for all our medical needs. The office staff is courteous and friendly, and the Dr. herself is extremely personable. She makes us feel like we're people and will take the time to listen to our problems rather than writing a prescription after 2 minutes of conversation. Because of her caring attitude toward patients, the wait time can be a bit longer, but I know that she will treat my family and I with the care and attention we need.

More than once did I have an unpleasant experience with the doctor and her office staff. I will not return to her office.
