I saw Dr. O'Brien for a ruptured ACL and torn meniscus in my left knee. I had seen another doctor prior who I was not happy with then a friend referred me to Dr. O'Brien. He did major work on my knee and replaced the ACL and repaired the meniscus as best he could. After much physical therapy and at 50 years old, I am actually back to the gym working as hard or harder then some of the younger folks! I am so happy with the result, attention and care I have been given throught out the process. Would recommend him HIGHLY to anyone needing work on the knee. He definitely knows what he is doing. His staff on the whole is better than average. Dr O'brian himself is first rate. He is very caring not only with me but with my family when he speaks to them and answers their questions, I switched to him from a top rated Dr that Washingtonian Magizine recommended because of the caring way he treated both myself and my wife when we had the initial consalt. The care he gave me made me not hesitate when my son injured his knee to send him to Dr. O'brian.

He wasn't able to identify the cause of my pain, and did not seem concerned about that - instead offering me rounds of steriod shots.

Dr. O'Brien repaired a torn meniscus in my husband's knee. Dr. O'Brien is compassionate and caring and is highly regarded by other doctors and patients as well. I would definitely recommend him to others. He truly cares about the patient, is great about answering questions, and does whatever he can to ease the healing process.
