I asked to see the doctor (Welch) as opposed to the PA I was seeing, because the PA had spend quite some time with me and did not even focus on my acute appendicitis--instead he kept accusing me of being pregnant or a drug user. I was relieved when Dr. Welch came in the door, but that quickly changed. The first thing he said to me was " what makes you so special that you get to request a doctor?".. it only went downhill from there.
