Dr Barrago is amazing! He is very knowledgeable and really cares about his patience abilities to live their lives fully, with activities and physical recovery that are going to make them stronger and healthier. Thank you for giving me my life back!!

I was seeing him for 8 yrs and then was told they won’t accept my insurance with UMR. He has prescribed me a very high dose of OxyContin. When I stopped seeing him I had the worst withdraw symptoms that I was not prepared for. I went to another pain management doctor and he said there is no reason he should have prescribed me those very dosages. The visits with Barroga were less than 5 minutes. He just wanted people in and out, rip off insurance companies, and care less about his patients. He never told me about trying to ease off overtime of pain meds. We had to fill out these forms every visit and he literally told me to change some of the answers to make it more legit for him to prescribed his medication. So shady. I’m really surprise he is not locked up by now with all the shady things he does and screwing his patient with giving these high dosages.

Dr. Barroga is very cheerful, non-judgmental about your pain, respectful, and knowledgeable. I have been a patient for many years and I highly recommend this physician. He prescribes appropriately and his entire staff are great! Thank you for caring about your patients.

I was a patient of Dr. Barroga for 12 years. I went in for my appointment and he told me I had 1 other narcotic show up in my ua. This was totally false as I had to give a ua every month. He fired me as a patient. He had me taking oxycodone, dilaudid, and a muscle relaxer all at the same time. If you are a current patient beware this could be you!

Please pay attention. Dr. Barroga gave me large amounts of narcotics including oxycodone, xanex, muscle relaxers, and antidepressants. This went on for years. I lost a lot of weight, spent most days ill from the meds, and he did not assist me in any way. He kept giving me the prescriptions, stating that it wasn't the medications. He was a doctor so I believed him. He neve spent more than 5 minutes with me at each appointment. It was only after I was seen by a different pain management doctor that I learned the dangers of the drugs he was giving me. I was told I was lucky to be alive. It took me a long time to build up my strength again. I still have health issues stemming from the large amount of meds he prescribed to me. I'm one of the lucky ones, but not everyone is.

Dr. Barroga is running a scam. He spends little time with his patients, and then prescribes high doses of narcotics, for example oxycodone, xanex, and muscle relaxers. All of theses to be taken at the same time/intervals.

The title says it all. I have a ultra-rare disease (DNA-genetic malfunction), that has no known cause, no proven treatment, and can NOT be surgically repaired. This left me ONE option: treat the chronic pain - period. This genetic issue affected both my hands and both soles of my feet (painful nodules on tendons and in soft tissue). Because so rare, I suffered from Neuroplasticity, damage to meso-limbic pathways and other areas in brain function from 15 years of non-treatment of unabated and constant chronic pain. Confirmed by my Psychiatrists (still in treatment for ADHD, anxiety, depression, etc). I could not find any Dr. willing to help me - they didn't know what it was. Finally treated by Psychiatrist who knew chronic pain - untreated - caused mental problems by the re-wiring of normal brain functions. When CDC changed his ability to RX pain meds to only Psych RX meds, I had to find a Dr. to manage my Pain. I almost gave up. Enter Dr. Barroga. I was told he wasn't… accepting new Patients, but I pleaded my case, and got an appointment. I'm sure my issues were puzzling to him, but he/we tried and finally my pain was controlled. I have to say that these 5-6 years he treated me, I had a much improved Quality of Life. Not only did it stabilize my pain, it improved my mood and outlook which was noted by my Psychiatrist, as well. I can't speak for everyone, but Dr. Barroga and his office staff helped me tremendously. And, during the stressful changes by the U.S. Healthcare agencies (which affected everyone), he was there. I would still be there, but moved due to my spouse's new job and relocation. And, yes, it has been very hard to find a Pain Mgmt Dr where I am now. You don't realize how crummy your life can be until you go from A+ care to having to start all over again (especially with a rare, painful condition). Thank you Dr B and all at the office staff. You can read reviews and decide, but I would suggest you decide from experience. A compassionate Dr willing to put up with my issues is hard to find. I hope whoever reads this gets my point - "I needed help and treatment and Dr. Barroga provided me with the best medical care when I needed it most." I appreciate it more than you know. Within 6 months of being in treatment with Demo BAROGA, I found my daughter dead in her sleep.
